Keely is not gonna make it to 2012! I'm not saying she's not good, but she's definetly not olympic level! Just because she trains at Chows dosnt mean she's gonna be the next Shawn Johnson (like she probably thinks) she has no where near the expierence as Shawn has!

Ok this is a dumb question, but I'm not too up to date on gymnastics. I love watching it but don't understand the whole process of getting to the olympics. When do we find out who made the olympic team?

@Little18DaNcEr Well, there's usually several high profile competitions they do (like the Visa Championships for example). They can't make the team if they can't even qualify to the National team. Worlds also earns brownie points. There's also the Olympic Trials (Jun 28- July 1, 2012). On top of that, the gymnasts are evaluated by Marta Karoyli and Co to determine who tends to be the most consistent, who has a lot of experience, and gymnasts who can specialize in something- like vault.

@Little18DaNcEr Well it's a very long process. The actual Olympic Trials is the summer of the Olympics, early summer. But you have to impress Marta Karolyi throughout the inter-olympic years. You do that by performing well at all times, especially during demanding and high stress times, and by proving yourself at the trials, worlds, etc. But you don't find out until the summer of the Olympics, but most people usually have a pretty good Idea who's going based on who Marta likes.

I really hate to be a debbie downer but I don't see either of them on that team for 2012 as of right now. I feel like 2016 is a more realistic goal for Keely if she can stick around that long. Shawns bid for the olympics is so up in the air right now I don't doubt her talent, I just don't think with all the talented juniors turning senior that her chances run high

Dang I love Shawn. Have ever since I saw her in the 2008 Olympic Trials and then got floor level tickets to her 37 city tour entertainment show after the Olympics!!! She will succeed at whatever she does; she's had that mentality for years!!! :)

Shawn is just better I guess and everyone knows Shawn as a gold and silver medalist in the OLYMPICS! and a dancing with the stars champion and she even has her own video game so don't go rooting for Keely go for Shawn Keely is good but nobody really has seen her in the OLYMPICS so lets just see the results.

@MIRROR1212MIRROR Hi, Shawn was doing alot more cardio work when i was there but she wore both, i think it just depends when they filmed her to what she was wearing, she was looking in great shape though!! xx
