  • Ein sehr schönes Video !

  • I like Robert's playing just because he doesn't copy T.R.

PS: what make of guitar? Anybody know?

  • Again, who is the hero but the recording engineer or whomever does the final mix...He really is the genius

  • Nice!!!!!!It really shows when there is a real rapport between players.Everyone is in tune with each other and it all flows almost without thought. Love it.....

  • I've been playing this tune with my group and this is my favorite version. Lively and beautifully played. Fun.---Gus

  • What kind of mandolin is Brad playing? Anyone know? Sounds incredible.

  • @jmac509 looks like a Collings MF

  • Magic Fingers this is good for breakfast lunch and dinner

    nena

  • wil brad and robert are the best on __whiskey before breakfast . thumbs up ten times three.

  • Nice and clean with a good tempo. Good job!

  • nice clean sound and talent bass too

  • I've heard hundreds of people play Whiskey Before Breakfast but none can hold a candle to this. The bass kept it full and lively while Robert and Brad swapped innovative rythems and terrific licks. Outstanding!

  • :) thank you.

  • oh yeh. nice bass too.

  • Anybody know what model Larson Robert is playing? Incredible playing.

    Vic

  • I sure don't. But it sounds very nice. It's in my feature box right now. Very sweet.

  • nice. beautiful recording too. wonderful bass tone.

  • the tone in that old larson guitar is unmatched. i love it! thanks for posting!

  • Just posted this on facebook, this needs to get out. Fine playing that put a tear in my left eye...excellent, excellent...the best talents are always the least recognized...

  • Way to Play!! I like it a lot!! t:)

  • Agree. Robert's tone is incredible only rivaled by Russ Barenberg.

  • class

  • I'm fairly certain that's not standard tuning. Anybody know what they're using?

  • its standard tuning, but the Low E is dropped to a lower D. The song is played in D.

  • a well-done, modern, stringed version of Appalachian Spring. Amazing!

  • Thats whiskey before breakfast :)

  • This is some great stuff-beats gettin' poked in the eye with a sharp stick!

    James

  • That was wicked!

  • Excellent top quality music keep up the good work lads.

  • excellent! more!

  • Look for "Whiskey before Breakfast" all over youtube. Nobody plays that tone so perfectly as Robert Bowlin does. Amazing flatpicking!

  • Still one of my favorites. All real.:)

  • Just.....wow!

  • An amazingly beautiful song done so beautifully. These three people are SOOOO talented!!

Your music makes me smile from my heart.

    Thanks.

  • Does anyone know if this is available on DVD or CD?

  • blew.......my.......mind i was in heaven for exactly 3 minutes and 24 seconds and im so absolutly amazed

  • I have played this so many times my headphones know it by heart. ust a wonderful performance.

  • I just love this one! One of my favorite tunes, and Wil and the group are just wonderful!!

  • Nice picking but why isn't the clip named "Whiskey Before Breakfast"?

  • Because most people don't recognize this piece's Irish roots. None the less it is beautifully done.

  • Too long a title for YouTube.

  • Too long? There's dozen of YT clips entitled "Whiskey Before Breakfast".

  • We'd want to include "Robert Bowlin, Brad Davis, & Wil Maring" as well.

  • Mattyred - It's in their title. The traditional players call it "Three young ladies drinking whiskey before breakfast"

  • What is the name of this tune? Old fiddle tune??

  • Hot dang dilly... this is one fine piece of work. Simple but eloquently spoken. Musically speaking of course. ;)

  • Always thought of Davis as the guitar guy, but he ain't bad on mando either

  • If anyone doesn't love this, you can't please'em! Beauty!

  • That guitar does sound good, anyone know the brand?

  • That's a vintage Larson guitar. They were made in chicago in the 30's and 40s. They always have a sparkley tone.

  • Thanks very much!

LOL, if it was made in the 30's, it'd probably cost me an arm and a leg today, at least if its anything like the gibson granada pre war.

  • Hallo. Good fresh muic. Bravo.

  • Very nice!

  • Very classy indeed and that includes the set-up and the overal feel for this clip.

  • great tue I think whiskey before breakfast is my favourite tune and you versione is very very nice!
