  • mijn kleinzoon vroeg mij om een jive nummer...ik liet 'm deze zien

My "little" son ask me for a jive number and I say to him : listen to Cliff haha

  • why didn't some one tell him what a" hand jive "was ????

  • Dig them crazy specs, man!

  • WOW!! These guys did a really good version of "hand jive"

  • It's funny how these two blokes always made a sandwich with CR in the middle.

  • Such great mates its excellent to see them together and enjoying themselves so much , poor Cliff he almost fell when he bumped into Hank...many thanks for posting these guys out to us love this song and the singer .. very talented men all of them

  • The best The Shadows's bass player was Jet Harris. He was among the pioneer of the Shadows. In fact he was the one who suggested the group name as it is now. Before the were called The Drifters

  • I love the Shadows but Cliff Richard is honestly nothing special. They deserve a better vocalist.

  • @ejikvkaske I like him.

  • @ejikvkaske What planet are you from!!

  • Excellent,,,,just great..RWB

  • IM not european nro american...BUT I HAV NOTICED BRITISH MUSIC IS BETTER THAN DIRTY AMERICAN HIP , RAP MUSIC.......

  • at about 1:22 hank pulls quite possibly the cutest face ever straight down the camera :P

  • PURE 5*

now that is what is called X factor 5*

  • sista flow!

  • Who is Alan Jones?

  • @hellosuzie123 the best bass player ever and the best boyfriend

  • Where can i find a video of cliff Richard and the shadows shadow walking together?

  • Brilliant - such a rocker - Alan Jones in top form on bass - Cliff, Bruce and Hank working a song like only they can

  • Great Performance!! It Realy Swings Great. They all seems in Great Shape here. Long live The Shadows And Cliff Richard.

  • magic, would have been great to have seen tony and jet there also.

  • Those were the days. Fabulous memories of a lifetime.

  • That was a wonderful time...

  • Class...absolute class. Since '58, the BEST in rock'n'roll.

  • And 27 years later...

Cliff and the Shadows still perform as if 27 years haven't gone past!

  • They have hardly changed since, watching the RVP in 2008 its very uncanny that they havn't aged much at all. I know some grey hair etc. I think music keeps you young. Long live Cliff and The Shadows XX

  • where would cliff be without the SHADOWS..brilliant

  • What a sensational bass player Alan Jones is

Here's a guy who stamped his terrfic bass on The Shadows 80's era.Listen and weep I do

  • @fenderburns thanks i will pass ur lovely comments on to him

  • @fenderburns very true boss of the bass

  • cool

  • faggot.......

  • LMAO!!!!!!!!

  • I love Cliff but I wish someone would tell him the right lyrics. 'He does the walk, the stroll and Susie Q' NOT ' Walk and strolling through the queues' Johnny Otis was talking about popular dances from 1958.

  • They ain't half bad. Sure better then that crap Clapton served-up, for his version. Talk about uninspired!

  • Amen, Clapton's version SUCKED...

This version is much better, not Johnny Otis type excitement in the song but still good.

  • Cliff is Cool!

  • Shadows rocks!!

  • cliff looks lovely....and still is!

  • Cliff is beautiful!

  • great

  • great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • GRANDE CLIFF!

  • Superb Bass playing from Alan Jones

  • Alan Jones: Best Shadows Bass player ever for sure!

  • Steve i do have the WDTA on an old video tape from this Royal Command Performance, but the sound is very tinny... a very bad mix. Imj22's upload of the other 2 numbers here is far superior to mine and the audio has been remastered too.

  • Mmmmmm, this is BEAUTIFUL Cliff! Do you have any more from this show of Cliff?

  • so it must have been We Don't Talk Anymore into Willie.... reprise! Apache before both...????

where did u get this from lmj22?

  • Thanks Rumbers! When I read a Bruce Welch interview somewhere he was talking about a performance with Cliff in the early 80's where they played a set which included We Don't Talk Anymore which sounded amazing... I wonder if it was from this show? Maybe it is! Bruce said live it was great but on the actual video tape the Shads backing vocals weren't audible as the sound engineer hadn't got the mics switched on or something to that effect!

  • This is great! Thanks for sharing the footage, I've never seen it before :-D

    Han

  • Hi Imj this is from the Royal Variety Show 1981. Apache which youve uploaded is also from this show. Cliff closed his set with We Dont Talk Anymore.

  • fantastic... but what show is it from???
