  • Yours Is My Heart Alone is the correct title.

Popular song in Germany a year earlier.

  • The original Tauber records in english language have the title "You are my heart's delight", see the related Tauber Video here on YouTube

  • @HMV163 You are correct. I have been misinformed. Thank you

  • @HMV163 Although you are indeed correct about the song's original title, it is all over YT as the title I first mentioned. It's

probably not the first time a beautiful Europian lyric has been "Americanized".

  • @HMV163

The English words of 'You are my Heart's Delight' were written by Harry Graham for the first London production - starring Tauber - in 1931.

An American translation 'Yours is my Heart Alone' [actually closer to the German original] was also produced around the same time, and used by US singers like Richard Crooks and Charles Kullmann in their 1930s recordings.

I wonder which version Tauber used on Broadway in 1946?

  • I've always liked his voice too, full of character and the text of his introductions so interesting.

  • Although the label says "not for sale" it was actually released and sold incredibly well.Norman Long's terrific yiddish accent makes me smile

  • The narrator sounds like Norman Long
