to me signs was like jaws. you were always imagining what the aliens (the shark) looked like until you see them near the end. its always what you dont see that scares you the most.

Cast Ted Sutton in MORE movies! Stange and kinda comical (small town people). He brought some serious acting into a movie like anthony hopkins did with the Hannibal character. His acting in this scene makes you feel very uneasy (which is it's very purpose), then ends with some comic relief "toes licked by beautiful woman". Imagine Ted Sutton as a highway patrolman that pulls you over in the middle of nowhere, very isolated. I'd shit bricks if he acted the same as he did here. What aliens? :)

Lots of people don't understand what the aliens were doing hanging around their farm. This scene explains it perfectly. They were simply a recon unit scouting out the landing zone for the main force.
