  • I hope that It will all end the suffering of Uganda

It Gets me really sad to know we are not doing anything about it

    but there is always hope

  • Watching..waiting

  • What the hell is your problem? What in my comment warranted that sort of aggressive response?

  • I don't have to pretend to care dude. I grew up in West Africa. My father is Nigerian - it's impossible for me not to care about the continent I grew up in. Anyway who the hell are you to tell me what I care about? You know nothing about me pal.

  • well thats the usa, they all ways put there head in the sand. why should it take some big actors to highlite the promblem, thats right beasuse we are to wrapped up,in what britney spears does. wake up guys, there are people dying in darfur do something

  • Totally agree. People need to pressure politicians to do something. Call the white house, write letters, people DO something.

  • ryan gosling never ceases to amaze me.

  • In the oscar goes to...

    Ryan Gosling ^^

  • I Love You Ryan You Deseved The Oscar A LoT!!!

    KEEP IT UP BRILLIANT ACTORE

    I DO ADORE THE BELIEVER

  • Writing a letter to a congressman is a good idea, and I will, but Can we not build our own independent army and send them over to Darfur and help these people now? It seems we should do more while we're waiting. Military support would be the greatest way we can show that we truly care. Truly.

  • Isn't that what the US says they want to do whenever they invade a country? An army is a good display of might to intimidate enemies. The reason people wouldn't make an independent army is cuz generally people don't want to put themselves in danger for others that they dont know. Try driving there with food and supplies instead of weapons.

  • I'm beyond glad that Ryan is involved with Uganda and whatnot. I'm enthused! :)

  • Ryan man,the perso you shd really be writing to is museveni(uganda's president)because he was in charge of invading DRC congo when all this happened in his country...call him am sure u will be stunned like evryone else.

  • It's funny.... like 90 percent of U.S has no clue what Darfur is, nor what is going on there.

  • ryan ilove u and rachel thanks 4 helping with darfur i think ill do the same thing some day

  • what does bush have to do with northern uganda? it doesnt matter what he does, no ones ever happy with his disitions. when america trys to help out with situations and people make it political is because of people like you. Lets think about the kids and famlilies in uganda and not try to get Bush involved and make it about America.

  • Um... because Bush is leader of one of the most powerful countries on earth? No one's ever happy with his "disitions" because he has yet to make a good one.

Yes, let's think about Uganda, and ask why our leaders aren't doing more.

  • 39rc6cf you are the ignorant - check out how the world bank and the imf operate in the developing world and your government's [rep or dem]influence on both and how aid comes with conditions which allow corrupt leaders to remain in power as this benefits the west- you also show your complete ignorance about HIV/AIDs transmission and treatment- i suggest you readup on this - here is a bigger world outside your state- but it sounds like you dont care....

  • If you're interested in learning more about other stories from this region in Africa check out PulitzerCenter. We are currently working on a project that follows two Southern Sudanese "lost boys" returning home to find their families. There is also a live weblog where people can post questions to the "lost boys" and read about the trip. Check it out!

  • if you really cared about this you would be activley opposing the bush administration -- visiting Uganda wihtout alos putting political pressure on is useless.. wha ttehy ahve done is not "beautiful" its what most peopel can do who are not poor- duh?

lobby wihtin your own country -

GET BUSH OUT !!! HOLD THE \DEMOCRATS ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR BAD DECISIONS!!! or are you scared to stand up and be counted because of your very lucrative careers....

  • Oh blow it out of your rear. Everything is Bush's fault. Some Ugandan broad gets knocked up because her lover never heard of condoms and it's Bush's fault. People like you give a lot of us a pain in the ass. Sure, Bush is unpopular because of Iraq but to blame him for the crap going on in Africa proves you totally ignorant.

  • "GET BUSH OUT !!! HOLD THE \DEMOCRATS ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR BAD DECISIONS!!!"

Maybe I misunderstand what you're trying to say, but I felt it necessary to point out that Bush is a republican..

  • Ryan is simply amazing.

  • I know!!!! Never would I have imagined he'd be involved in Africa, simply amazing. Love John Prendregast as well :)
