Writing a letter to a congressman is a good idea, and I will, but Can we not build our own independent army and send them over to Darfur and help these people now? It seems we should do more while we're waiting. Military support would be the greatest way we can show that we truly care. Truly.

Isn't that what the US says they want to do whenever they invade a country? An army is a good display of might to intimidate enemies. The reason people wouldn't make an independent army is cuz generally people don't want to put themselves in danger for others that they dont know. Try driving there with food and supplies instead of weapons.
