Tracey, you are absolutely magnificent! How long did it take you after your accident to get back to the point where you can put on a peformance this great?
It took a long time for my residual limb to settle down so a leg could fit well enough. The dance leg took 8 months and £10k to develop (The NHS would never have got me this active again!). It still causes discomfort but I don't care!!! I'm glad you like my performance, but it was far from polished. I have some big shows coming up this year so I am training quite hard and pushing the limits. Watch this space, there is better to come! (Insha Allah)
The fact that you cannot tell is why it IS cool. I cannot see any benefit of a one legged dance other than being a spectacle, which is not the point. the point is overcoming a disability to the point of being graceful and balanced enough so as you cannot tell.

Do you ever dance without your fake leg?

No. what would be the point in that? Egyptian Dance is my love and I want to do it justice.

You can't even tell you're a one legged dancer because you're so goo on your fake leg... it'd just be cool to see you actually dance with one leg.
