hey your videos are awesome! I with you on disagreeing on that statement! I got a d40 and thinking of purchasing 55-200mm. It will auto focus with d40, correct? Also do you mind sharing where you get your lenses for a cheap price? On ebay the 55-200mm is around $150

@TheOlyBella Yes, the 55-200 should autofocus with your d40. I just keep my eyes open on ebay and amazon for the deals. I've held off purchasing something for weeks until I find the perfect deal. If you need the items in any sort of rush though, you will just have to pay the price at hand.

I would say get the 55-200 VR. The AF-S makes it compatible with all Nikon DSLR's and the VR is a great feature to have.

@weebromat The focus ring works great. Its got a smooth movement but its not so loose that you'll lose focus if you bump it or something. Enjoy!

Thats the Nikon SB-50dx flash. The flash works great with the D2H. Better than all other flashes I've tried on it.

Of course it will work, it's a AF-S. However for DX, 55-200mm would be as good

This particular model will NOT autofocus with the D40/D40x/D60/D3000/D5000. There are several models of the 70-300mm lens but this particular version does not have a focus motor built in.

I completely agree with you...to the naysayers just pose the thought: I wonder if Da Vinci or Van Gogh would have gotten a "cheap" result using "cheap" tools. Somehow I doubt it. Just goes to show that the person behind the camera is what makes a great photo. I use a D90 and I get complimented on my photos all the time, they definitely couldn't tell that I didn't use a D3X :)

yeah you can. all the vr does is provide a more steady shot for you. its an AF lens so your d60 will auto focus with it no problem.

although at 300mm the VR would probably come in handy id say but this last part is just my opinion

Actually this lens won't autofocus with the D60 this lens does not have an AF motor built in and since the D60 has no AF motor either, it wont autofocus

Its ok for daylight, but in rooms or sports it sux, i have to crank iso up too 1600 sometimes 3200, it hunts for a focusing point.

VR would be great on it.

Search this guy on youtube Lilkiwiguy87 its the nikonhotline, he's a pro so watch his vids helps me more then my know-it-all friends at home.

ohh and the 70-300 is also has a very narrow angle and you need to stand away from the target about 6 feet or 2m, so it would get focused

No this particular lens does not have VR capabilities. It performs well enough in low light situations but there is a limit to what it can do. Its best to try one out and see for yourself.
