@TheIrateFan Sometimes. The programming bugs are just called Bugs.
But the hardware quirks like this one aren't usually caused by programming bugs. They may also be caused by overheating, hardware conflicts or misreading.
thats totaly a cartalidge tilt. in most NES games, when you tilt the cartilagde it, it ends up like this and after this tilt, it could lose its posisions to the ink type
People that look at this video are lured by the title "Metroid Glitch Compilation" expecting something like the Rygar glitch video where it shows a bunch of different glitches in the actual game, even some you can use as warps. However, when they see this and realize that it's just the frozen title screen they feel duped. Why? This is neither a glitch nor a compilation. You should should change the title to "Metroid frozen title screen" you would probably get a lot less negative responses.
Why? Because people who view this are expecting a "Metroid glitch compilation" not just a effed up title screen. This is neither a glitch nor a compilation. You should change the title to "Jacked up Metroid title screen" or "Pointless waste of life"
this is the first time ive ever posted a comment on a youtube video but i just have to say that this is the STUPIDEST SHIT IVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE Why would anybody care about this. Do ou think its like a fucking magic trick or something. anybody with a NES has seen this and they didnt think it was cool when they were 9 years old. WTF?
If my brother is out there reading, doesn't this look like Tetris afer we tried to revive the NES?
God, it takes us ten freakin minutes to play the frekkin thing...and it usually looks like what I see in the vid. Maybe I should film it and totally try to pass it off as a glitch as well!
When will people learn that randomly poking and changing memory addresses isn't glitching. It's like saying that using a Game Genie code is glitching, it's the same thing.
Thats not a true glitch, just someone who don't know how to work it right.

glitch? looks like you just thrashed the cartridge. Not a glitch in the game, you have a bad connection.

my dirty game cartridges will sometimes do this. No biggie .. either clean them or just reset .. sometimes that fixes it.
