  • As harsh as this sounds, I don't mean any offence.

He kinda looks like Gary Neville here...

  • He seems like such a nice bloke...

  • He rejected an O.B.E well done mate what a protest to the shit that go's on in this country.

  • What's up with the crucifix? I have always assumed he would be "non-religious."

  • @mad4mtl It's nice symbol. but few of his songs are some things about god etc. maybe he believes theres one?

    Or he just appreciates.

  • Steve White really is unique. What a drummer.

  • where do I find those shoes

  • @forestfan3 Can get them from quite a few places, they're known as "Jam shoes".

  • He looks like Lloyd from Dumb+Dumber with that shocking bowl cut hehe.

  • Weller squeezes more wit and insight into a single sentence than most pop musicians do in their whole speaking lives.

  • Interesting concept ...'Mod as a religion'.

Mod is not a religion or a cult its a subculture.

I lived it for many years and was fortunate to gain an understanding of what it was REALLY about. Its about more than just fashion and scooters its a political statement.

  • This was a nice clip...I loved his shoes and his Mod statement! Rock on, Weller!

  • Nice tribute to Steve marriott who died just a few weeks before this. Rock on Steve.

  • shocking haircut - reminds me of early Blackadder

  • @spitefulload hahahaha yeah

  • love his shoes!

  • i will take it you did not listen when he said " i dont know how much say a group has in these things " that is your answer there

  • Why? "Billy Elliot" is a great film framing the miner's strike which Weller was in favor of! As opposed to jeans made in Egypt by child labor.

  • Great interview!

And no, I don't find Paul to be uncomfortable in this clip. Not compared to others I've seen.

Wossy just has a knack for getting along with anyone, and even old Wellaaah is no exception.

Incidentally, I'm always amazed by how Paul's voice has always sounded like a middle-aged blues man.

Even when he was in his 20's!

It's a bit like a cross between Stevie Winwood and Eric Clapton, I suppose.

    Not a bad thing!

  • One thing strikes me here is how uneasy Paul is. However probably thinking "how the f**k are you to question me"...The man is class..

  • nice one. thanks gordywilson :)
