Tips on Creating YouTube Videos

gonna have to disagree with u on this one lisa, Pinnacle Studio is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I bought the new one everytime it came out, three years in a row, and every year, the program seemed to get shittier and shittier im music/video producer as well as web designer. I would recommend Sony Vegas, Adobe Premier, or Final Cut.

I personally think youtube is almost equal to google as a search engine. People are now searching youtube rather than do it in google. Watching videos is better than reading an article, and almost everything you search is available in here. I consider video marketing a very good strategy as long as you know how to do it.

Refreshing my views. Another great video. But what about when you make videos and post them and then find them posted on other, non-YouTube sites that are monetized!!! What?! ! I've been finding my videos after I made the little google video 30 second thingie. I don't want to uncheck embedding because I want to embed them on my own blogs. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Great content and you provide very helpful videos. But I strongly urge you to insert a watermark on your vids (text showing your web site URL on screen). This is just another way to get your site out there and visible as people watch the vid.

what about if you want to do videos and u know what you want to do your video about, but you feel your content will be really vague? Especially when there are other people on youtube may have better videos on the same topic? How do you make it something people wanna watch?

Provide information those other videos don't. It's impossible to find a niche that is completely untapped. So you have to put on your creative hat and give people info that other channels don't.

hi lisa dast my first time visiting ur page.first i want t say you covered a lot of good point.. but one thing i have for your is dat your videos be freezing a lot ,its ether your pci video card is too low or they didn;t capture the right way.. please try fix dat. i'm schooling on video production i have met those problems well good luck .some of the pci cards are cheap,shop well

yeah dude... it may be your computer. They never freeze for me either. It could be the way your computer is processing the video format she's using. Make sure you update your Flash player for your browser. Lisa publishes her video in HD so the freezing may be because your Flash player for your browser is not up to date.

Another tip, (I think you will know), is to reflect, bounce, light of a surface to soften any harshness... (not that your video's look harsh).

I use a Sony HD video camera but you really can just get a digital camera with a video option. For best quality, get one with HD capabilities and if it's a digital camera, just make sure the megapixels are at least a 6. The good news is, the prices have come way down. But you don't need to get anything fancy to create good videos as long as you have good lighting.

Hi Ursula, most people find me through the YouTube "search" and I promote my channel from my site so that gives me an advantage. You could try visiting related channels and commenting on those videos. I have a friend who is just getting started on YouTube and she is gaining subscribers by commenting/networking with related channels.

I feel you on that comments thing. 400+ vids...gets hard commenting so i just let it all go in the pot. guess i am lucky i only get the MLM folks. I have 4 of my clients (virtual assistant) in here and their biz is growing as well as my own. btw, u can get a FREE video editor called VideoSpin from Pinnacle and download from their site, It's superior to Windows Movie Maker in everyway. It's a great starter program. Studio 12 is offered as an upgrade if u outgrow VideoSpin for cheap $49. I luved both products and use them almost exclusively for my video editing. I have others that i was not impressed with like Corel VideoStudio and AVS4You. Corel is too intense and expensive 4 beginners and AVS4You while its free is very limited.

Hi Ccg909, yes the quality is a little low. You might want to think of getting a camera with higher quality. Although if your videos are just for fun it's not as big a deal as it is for a business/money making channel. Nevertheless, good quality is always a good thing. Looks like you're having fun though!
