  • kool man

  • thts freakin awsome, im totlly getting one!!!!! can u do a demenstration of half life 2 or css running please :D

  • Very very Nice!

Thank you for this Nenyana. Sort of the test I was waiting for. I'm now 5 days away from ordering my Everun note. (and finally then I might join u talking on the UMPC-portal forums.)

But dont stop here, please test more games for us!

  • If you thought Quake 4 was good for a UMPC, you should check out the clip that some one else has done of Crysis running on the Everun Note.

I didn't even bother trying this because I thought it would not even run.

Of course, I will now be testing this one out myself and should be able to get it to run better than in that clip. I underestimated this UMPC it seems.

  • I could not find a way to wield a gun that also has a flashlight like I could in Quake 4

It seems in Doom 3 you are forced to switch between your weopon or your flash light. If this is the case then it is stupid.

Either way, I think it is quite impressive that these (high spec) games run that well on a UMPC.

  • Nice. Doom III may run nice too since they both use the same engine. Only bad luck is that the engine is Nvidia optimized, so considering that, the IGP of the Everun Note is actually doing excellent in Quake IV since the impact is considerable. Doom III, assuming it is multi-threaded too, may run smoothly since it requires less graphics power. Half-Life 2, also multi-threaded but AMD/Ati optimized if I recall correctly may run like a charm, considering this IGP.

  • I tried Doom III and it ran very well in some areas with fps of 30-60 and the lowest of 15 fps. Overall it was playable but due to the darkness everywhere in game, there were no footage worth showing. Quake 4 ran at a more consistent frame rate in comparisom. For the best gaming performance I recommend Ati Tool, AMD fusion for gaming (beta) and tweaking the Catalyst Control Centre (using tweakguide) and Bios settings (increase GPU clock /RAM).
