  • he is the greatest old timer left

  • Anthony Benedetto is the best . Mr Bob Hope says so

  • This is a real man! Tony, we love you.

  • I like it more upbeat, only reason Frank is better

  • Stop bragging about your music taste because you are young, for christ's sake. no one asked, and that is because no one gives a shit. how infantile it is to show off because you happen to like good music. jesus.

  • Nice

  • ^_^

  • I saw this show like 3 days ago, it was wondersful, but didn't like when Diana played the piano after hearing Bill.

  • two not talented bums that made it big

  • Tony is the best. He was 82 in this video.

  • Very romantic...love the jazz piano.

  • Tony Bennett should sing the soundtrack of my life

  • ese bennett tiene una hermosa voz me recuerdan alos tiempos de mis padres =D lastima que tuve que nacer en este tiempo chafa

  • He's such a legend. Just looks like a gentleman and a master of the old school

  • I love Toni! I love this song!

  • i love that the orignal frank sinatra one is nice fast and upbeat, and tony's is a slower version.. this songs works both ways, its aweseom!

  • Best music: Rap and tony bennett ;D

  • Is any guy listening to this?

  • @prathik728 Yes dip shit.

  • @prathik728 indeed :)

  • @prathik728 Super Junior's Choi Siwon.

  • I'm the glint in the milkman's eye and I love classical music and the greats like Sinatra and Bennett.

  • Check out here the collaborations between Tony Bennett and Bill Evans... some of the best work either of those giants ever did. When they teamed up it was so unexpected... a ballad singer and a Miles Davis style pianist... it didn't figure but it was brilliant. Music always has surprises. Thanks for posting.

  • Oh Tony that is just so beautiful....brings tears to my eyes. So much soul and heart. Definitely adding this to my favorites.

  • Tony's right. This pianist is great. Clear tone and mellow sounding. Knows how to phrase.

  • Dibs as a wedding song :)

  • Sorry mean LIVE on forever (typo!)

  • These beautifully written songs by Jerome Kern, George Gershwin and Cole Porter will leave on forever. My father played this music in our home back in the 1960s....this is the music I grew up to as a child. I loved it and always will and the reason I do is because this is REAL music.

  • I love this guys accent! bless him- I would be honoured to do a duet with him!!!

  • MOTHER FUCK, Chick Corea on piano? Tsc, tsc... impeccable!

  • EL MAS GRANDE DE TODOS UNICO TONY

  • cool !

  • if any one know choi siwon in super junior a korean boy band (he is hot) <33333333 this is his fav for 15 years

  • there 2 kinds of singers, tony bennent and sinatra and the rest of us

  • Tony always brings tears to my eyes. He is just so special.

  • im 20 , and yeah i like this too :0

  • Duke Ellington one of the greatest musicians of all time used to say. There's only two kinds of music "good music ,and bad music" . To me that means music that comes from deep within the heart of the artist, lovingly rehearsed, and played for the love and joy of rythmic delights. It also means not written or performed solely for the purpose of buying another ounce of cocaine, or another sports car to smash up. Great artists like Tony Benett, Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, knew their trade. Beautiful.

  • En España también nos gusta Tony Bennet. Gran tipo, mejor artista y excelente persona. ¡ Cuánto me gustaría verlo actuar aquí !

  • Who is he to say the best pianist was Bill Evans. I mean, yes, in my opinion Bill Evans was one of the greatest ever, and Tony Bennett is a great singer too, altough I prefer Frank Sinatra. But he should shut the f*ck up, with his white opinions.. Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson, Herbie Hancock, all great pianists. The greatest jazz is black Tony, exept it! I hope he just didn't choose his words good, otherwise I will kill him... haha ;) just kidding, great video, great song

  • I'm 16. I love metal, pop, rock, some rap, country, classical, oldies, grunge, etc...

If it's true art, written from the soul, I will love it regardless of the time period or genre. Everyone should learn to love music. :)

Tony- your music is wonderful! :)

  • @robinfoutch You have a great taste for music

  • @robinfoutch

ooh, " if it's true art" you have 16 years old and you have all unterstand .....

  • @paco257fr ... I'm afraid I have no idea what you just said...

  • @robinfoutch

    dont worry be happy

  • @robinfoutch I couldn't have said it better my self!!

  • @robinfoutch It is and you put it perfectly. Learn to love music. Well said.

  • I wish the young generation would learn to love this music. They are loosing a beautiful gift. Despite the horrors of the last ten years of Bush Cheney treason and the terrible tragedy they caused. The world war two generaton including private Bennedetto AKA Tony Bennett saw so much horror and sadness. They still came home from the battlefields of Europe and the Pacific with the courage to fall in gentle sweet love. There's beauty all around you if you know how to see it. We love you Tony.

  • @geezerdombroadcast im only 18 and i have been listening to great music like this for years someone people dont appreciate good music especially people my age!

  • I have seen Mr.Tony in concert and all I can say is amazing, classic, wonderful and than some.

  • I am so glad my hubby and I made a point to go see Tony perform live. He is truly amazing. It was the year he turned 80 and the place he was performing (Segerstrom Performing Arts Center in Orange County) was celebrating their 20th anniversary. He demonstrated the acoustics by turning off all microphones and just he and a guitarist performed a song. It was not as loud, but it was stunning and beautiful and could be heard clearly through the whole place. It made me tear up a bit.

  • Tony - 10 more years and 10 more tears- please

  • Pure class...as he said in Vegas, "How I wish I was 10 years younger." Tony, let's make it at least 30 years so that we can continue to enjoy your singing!

  • Divulgue seus videos no andaki.com.br e no snfc.com.br

  • OG! :)

  • The way he smiles when he sings just makes me happy. It turns my mood around no matter what. :)

  • Elvis Costello...BOO! He boycotted Israel.

  • People don't sing like this anymore. Music is the voice of the soul. Beautiful.

  • Epic.

  • Awesome talent and person .Still excellent at 85 years young .

  • I had the prilvledge to listen to Tony Bennet live (along with Sir Paul McCartney). He's such an amazing singer and I will remember that concert forever!

  • Consider that this extraordinary talented singer was well into his senior years when this was filmed. He can speak this song and make people cry. Incredible.

  • the almighty god, please make this legendary singer immortal....

  • "I'm 3 years old i like this song" Oh shut up people are we supposed to be like "omg that kid is 17 and he likes this song thats amazing" No it doesnt take a genious to know good stuff so shut up with your age, anyways Great Song i dedicated it to my gf :)

  • Bravo Mr. Bennett, Bravo!! :)

  • WOW!

  • i hate people comments

  • I will always love Tony Bennett!

  • Tony Bennett : eternally inside the heart and soul of music history

  • A class act, a legacy, a genius - they don't make em like Tony anymore <3

  • Happy Bday Tony... from your home neighborhood... ASTORIA!!!

was the greatest thing you ever heard!

  • トニー・ベネットとビル・チャーラップの顔合わせによるジェローム・カーン"今宵の君は"~スダンダードを知り尽くした二人の成熟の味 #jazzm

  • Great Nothing!

  • his voice is like your in another world when u listen to him,hes great.

  • Saw him recently in Dublin, he hasn't lost it!

  • SUCH "CLASS"!!!!!!

  • Tony Bennett is a national treasure. I went to see him in concert a few years ago and I was in awe. His singing voice, his phrasing, and his personality all are first class.

  • i absolutly love how when ever tony finishes a lyric, he give a look that as if, he feels a memory, or in other words just the music flowing through him, a pure legend, a pure classic, a true atrist. \m/

  • legend,

  • sings from his heart. I wish people could hear more of this music.

  • @polo10798 Hip hop gangster rap is the way these days. Good song though!!

  • Amazing Singer I Love Jazz Music

  • im 16 now and have grown up around Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra,Dino, and most of the other greats. my friends refuse to listen to my ipod because they think i listen to "crap music" I'm sorry but i just dont think Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Lil Wayne and the other popular "singers" today will ever amount to any of the people I've listed above. i wish music could just go back to the times when there wasnt autotune, and you actually had to be talented to be famous, when music was written with passion

  • this is one song i know i will love even after i die. i love tony bennet's version. =)

  • This is amazing. Bill Charlap really is as good as Bill Evans. I love the Tony Bennett Bill Evans Album so much. Tony sings straight to my heart and makes me cry..

  • hes coming to jones hall in houston pretty soon. my school's jazz combo gets to play lobby music while ppl come in and then get to watch the concert. good stuff.

  • I love Tony, Frank,Dean,Andy and Nat. ect. the music and the writers are great. I am an unknown lyricist and I embrace all music. When I listen to anything 70's back, my kids laugh and make jokes. I tell them it's sad ,because they are the ones losing out because they really don't know real music or real singers.I try to get them to listen, but they don't get it even Motown, and they're not that young..I like 90's &2000 music but I love the oldies. Thank God for youtube, itunes and ipods . T F P

  • When the curtain finally descends on Tony Bennett's stage, something fundamentally perfect from the most brilliant generation in America's history will pass away with him. He's the last man standing. To be sure, there will be those who'll imitate Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Perry Como, but they will be displaced from their music's cultural context. America will become a vulgar place without Tony Bennett. The guys I name above had class. Class seems outmoded nowadays in America.

  • @viriatoist I beg to differ. Micheal Buble' is the guy who will carry on Dean Martin, Toney Bennet, Frank Sinatra and the rest of these classy guys. Mark my words, already many people are starting to love Micheal Buble more and more and this music will come back big.

  • /sighs. I love this... 17 and in love with this kind of music. Huzzah for being a minority.

  • Un clásico que cantaron y cantan numerosos intérpretes...Bennet, aún entero, muy entero y parece que dispuesto a todo, sugiere que hay ocasiones en que la vida es bella. Entre tanta mediocridad, un homenaje a los felices momentos.

  • a nice song... such a nice one..

  • this music style will live on because there are groups out there keeping it alive.

ck this one out. they are the coolest cats! Tony should go jam with them.

    search cinnamon doll jazz

    enjoy!

  • This is what you call real music. I grew up with listening to Tony, Frank, Nate King Cole, etc. and these Classic singers dont have to sing about sex, drugs, murder in order to satisfy those persons who dont what real music is. These Classic singers are like Timex Watches "It take a licking but it keeps on ticking"

  • Today my son Chris & girlfriend who have taken a 1 year out tour around the world (lucky them ) china/thailand/hongkong/austrailia/new zealand and various other places are now in the USA they landed in San Francisco and now moved on to LA

where last night they went to a Italian Resturant and were half way through their meal when Tony Bennett and some family members came in to eat ,he was gobsmacked and couldn't wait to phone me .

It shows what a down to earth man he is .

  • Tony's voice is really soothing. I always get goosebumps whenever I listen to him. I'm 17 too like deerfried and I listen to great soul singers like Etta James and James Brown, also great Jazz singer like Tony. I really love them, they're the ones whom paved the way for the current singers. But sad to say, some of the modern music that we have today is really bad, I can't even call it music. The only ones that I truly adore/enjoy right now are Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion and Michael Bolton.

  • deerfried, that is my point. but your logic.... i mean young people hear of alot of people who are dead.... if they are exposed to it. like on utube, with

    elvis costello.

  • It's good to hear both together. I like how Bennett plays with the melody.

  • i am with you there YouMooks, i would not turn down a ticket to see tony bennett.

i have seen dizzy gilespie, sarah vaughan, sinatra, and i'd be happy to

spend a night listening to Mr. bennett live. did not mean to offend him, hope he does not read this stuff. just

talking about sinatra. i think kids today dont even know his name as well as tony.

Tony is managed by his son, who also manages (or managed) elvis costello.

so he had been luckier in the end being promoted.

  • @MrBusterfoot Frank Sinatra died in 1998, and even before he died his abilities had deteriorated significantly. An entire generation has passed since he was around. How could young people today be expected to know about him?

  • @deerfried I beg to differ. Im 17 and listen to Green Day & Paramore etc.

Many of my friends and I often talk about who could be the greatest musicians of all time,

And Sinatra's name often comes up when discussing vocals.

His legacy still lives on, believe it or not.

  • @LoneEllimist Kudos to you and thank you for keeping great music alive! But I'm sure you'll agree you are in the minority among your generation. The nature of pop culture is that the vast majority will only be aware of musicians who are "of the moment" and only the minority seek out other genres, cultures, eras. Watch the Grammys for evidence. I commented originally because someone seemed to BLAME today's culture for knowing Bennett and ignoring Sinatra. It's just due to the passage of time.

  • @deerfried If it's any consolation I make sure that my now 9 month old nephews spend dinners listening to all the music I like from Judy, Frank, Tony, Sarah V, Ella and Louis A. to musicals to classical to rock to whatever. I feel it is incumbant upon adults to sometimes make kids listen to older music or they'll never know what amazing sounds there are out there.

  • @deerfried

same here, I just turned 20, but have been listening to the greats since I was 17. Bennett, Dean Martin, Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby, The Lettermen, you name 'em

These are the greats whose legacies, I think, will not die for decades to come.

  • @deerfried I have to disagree, I'm happy to say. I'm 23 and during my prom we voted for the best song to play as the last song to describe our generation. Some people wanted to do Green Day or Britteny Spears or whatever. Then someone said 'Bullshit! Anything by Sinatra or Bennett or Nat King Cole is better than anything playing today. Sinatra didn't win but Unforgettable by Nat King Cole did win and he is many generations removed from mine.

  • @deerfried im in my 20's and definily falli in the catergory of somebody who searches out other genres and eras etc.my brother is the opposite.he is definitly like the majority in the moment with music.but he knows who sinatra is.everybody i know (mostly from 21-30) knows who sinatra is.im really not with this whole discussion.everybody know who he is.maybe teenagers dont know who he is but they dont know much.most teenagers are quite tunnel visioned.but as they get older they'l definitly know

  • @cantthinkofaname2011 he is referenced so much in modern pop culture.just watchin an episode of fraiser or friends and you can know who he is.by the way im only on here looking for wedding music.i dont really like this style of music at all neither does my brother.we know who he is as does everybody thats finished growing hairs on their balls.change the record people.every video i go on that is older than 10 years has the same comments about the younger generation normly mentioning justin beibr

  • @deerfried im 19 and listen to lots of different kinds of metal and punk, but Tony Bennett, The Rat Pack, and Nat King Cole are some of the finest voices there will ever be. Dont underestimate my generation.

  • @deerfried And also because Bennett's voice is better now that what Sinatra's was for the vast majority of his life? IN my opinion at least.

  • @deerfried I'm 16 and I'm a huge fan of Tony and Sinatra, it's a shame people are too preoccupied with people of the moment, who often can't compare to these guys

  • @LoneEllimist Very glad to know that a 17 years old knows so much. Thank You for appreciating fine music. =]

  • @LoneEllimist sinarta and bennett are STILL BOTH Legends even to my baby boomer generation

IF you didn't hear about Haley Reinhart yet check her out singing with Tony Bennett only 20 years old and she's gonna be a Legend...just a few videos to search of her

    Haley Tony Bennett

    Haley Reinhart Rhriannon

Haley Reinhart I who Have Nothing

Wheel High School Jazz Band Haley

reply back if you enjoyed it

  • @LoneEllimist Paramore pride. Shows we listen to great musc :)

  • @LoneEllimist I see we listen to the same music...

  • @deerfried I listen to Frank Sinatra. Have for years. And I'm 18.

  • @deerfried I'm 18, I've been brought up on the old greats like Sinatra and Bennett (and a lot of Motown) and still Sinatra is one of my favourite artists. I am gutted I wasn't born to see him. His voice sends shivers down my spine.

  • @MrBusterfoot

Sinatra is a household name no matter what age group. He is WAY more well known than Tony Bennett. I'm 23 and saw Mr. Bennett live last year and he was amazing.

  • @loveandtheft21 I agree. All over the world you can tell people the name Sinatra, and they will know - that's a good singer, with class. It's just that his name associates with it.

I'm sad that he doesn't actually come anywhere near my location, but no wonder, I somehow doubt that people really know him here.

  • @MrBusterfoot I had never heard of Tony Bennett until I watched an episode of Entourage (yeah that's sad..isn't it? Just found out now). Anyways he started singing, i paused the episode and youtubed this. This is his first song I have ever heard. I am listening to it now and it's absolutely PHENOMENAL.

I knew about Frank Sinatra long before this, probably since I was 12. He's great. Tony Bennett's on par. ( don't want arguments about who's better). I am a big fan of heavy metal but LOVE this.

  • @MrBusterfoot I prefer Tony Bennett over Sinatra and Dean Martin over both of them. I think Sinatra did not had a better voice than T.B. And this is not the best rendition of The Way you look tonight that T.B. has made.

  • @MrBusterfoot ...everyone knows who Frank Sinatra is. Not as many people know or have even listened to Tony Bennett sing.

  • thanks for your comment about my posting. I disagree though,

I am not concerned if old singers can still hit the notes. just talking about

this poor performance...and his place. I'm glad that

he is working, at his age, with his history. he couldnt get a record contract in 1979. And I do think sinatra is a catagory - Bennett is a not. I guess it's like comparing john cougar to springsteen ....in 2035. people wont know

    the difference.

  • @MrBusterfoot I love Sinatra i think he is the greatest singer there ever was.Bennett is a great singer too. I agree he is no Sinatra but I do give him the credit that he deserves and he still sounds good for his age, you also got to remember he is one of the last ones that are still alive. I would love to go see Bennett in concert.

  • how could tony bennett even compete with sinatra. i guess the one who lives longest wins. he is a nice singer, but the master is gone. and he freezes here,

cannot sing the song. shoulda cleared his throat before he began.

a generation who think krall is a singer, and bennett is jazz.

listen to pianist try to cue him..

    well bless him anyway.

  • I understand your affinity for Sinatra, but pound for pound and for his age, Bennett outshines Frank Sinatra. In his mid 80's, Sinatra couldn't function on a this level as a singer. You have to take in account his interpretation as wel...it's not always singing, but is nothing short of poetic. It's like listening to Bob Dylan today - scratchy, toady voice, but still packed with passion for the over 500 songs written.

  • loving him since i was a little girl. beautiful man, with beautiful voice. he melts me..

  • perfect phrasing, perfect timing..brings out the best in this song..keep going Tony.

  • i wish my husband would sing this lovely song to me

  • @sallycronin... yes

  • Please somebody turn off the lights and fix me a bourbon on ice !!! Jezz man I'm in the mood for some sweet and graceful female companion right now !

  • the best of the best...there will never be another love Tony Bennett

  • Tony Bennett is the greatest ever!

  • is this the last song in my best friends wedding, when rupert everret starts talking to julie roberts ?

  • No Tony Bennett, Bill Evans was NOT the best Jazz pianist of our time. That's Oscar Peterson. However, your singing made up for that minor indiscretion.

  • me gusta muchisismo mas con frank sinatra!!!!

  • Pure magic...

  • This is the best version there is of this song...his imperfect voice makes this song his own and there's nothing that makes a song more real nor more sweeter than making an un-original your original :-)

  • Have you noticed how amazing this is even if there is an 'in-perfection' here and there vocally? It's because those 'in-perfections' are natural and part of life, and are still beautiful when a great musician has something to say. Thus, if you get the opportunity, tell Michael Buble and his producers to quit ruining and mocking this great music with their fake autotuning saccharin sounding bullcrap!

  • He killed that piano..!!!! no doubt..!!

  • why am i crying?

  • @lovewalk9 Aww :)

  • Until without a little pit music, his can lets the song incredible. His voice is something.....

  • AHHTony Bennet what a class act <3

  • he is legend

  • Hes very talented singer, I like the look of you everyday n night, beautiful 4 beautiful, wonderful peps like U conor

  • Oldie but goodie. Damn! His voice is like.. Unexplainably beautiful

  • Wonderfully done.............first heard Tony in 1962............I was 11 years old and a couple of years later "I Left My Heart In San Francisco" came along. The rest is history. Tony's got 25 years on me and brings back great memories of music.

  • @5dave1 same with myself dave, i was about 6 or 7 years old in 1962, i need to listen to songs like this to relax more and bring back the good old music, what a awesome voice....

  • magnifico!

  • My wife and I went to see him last night at the Winstar in Oklahoma. It's amazing he's 84 folks and sounds great still to this day. What a show he put on!

  • The greatest concert I went to was Tony Bennett. It was at The Royal Albert Hall. He did a number without the microphone. We could hear him sitting right at the back. He was in his 70's then. My God! What a timeless performer. It makes you realise just how downhill music has gone, when compared to what has been.

  • Tony is absolutely great! Love Charlap too.

  • I love you Tony!! Marry me. Ha.

  • the great tony bennett, amazing singer and one of the greatest interpreters of phrasing lyrics, never heard a more honest singer in singing from the heart, an he goes on, incredible!!!

  • Man - just turned 84 so he's 82 on this video and the pipes still work - probably better than ever!

  • What a man

  • im so glad im not young,

  • @alicelouise1

    why? i´m curious.... ;-)

  • @dshkoq because there music is absolute CRAP

  • @alicelouise1

well, i wouldn´t say that everything is crap.

there is still music that´s pretty good.

i am listening to everything as long as i like it.

sure i have certain genres that i prefer like rock, classic, swing, jazz and blues.

and i´m open for new things.....but then again there are, let´s call´em, "musicians" that i don´t even like to give a chance.

    like justin bieber.

AND I AM PRETTY HAPPY WITH NOT KNOWING EVEN ONE SONG OF HER! ;-)

and with my 27years of age i don´t have to! :-)

  • it's amazing how unique his voice is even for his age. simply amazing...

  • i really like this song and his lovely voice but this doesn't seem to do it for me =/

  • beautiful..... simply beautiful

  • Love this he is awesome thank you for posting ☺
