Its performances like this that make me wonder why people diss Neil Turbin so hard. Sure its fair for some people to say that Joey Belladonna is better than Neil, but to say that Neil Turbin is just bad without any specific reasoning just pisses me off
Why is everybody always talking only about Neil? What about Dan Lilker? I think he was a big loss too. He helped co - wrote all the songs on the first record. I agree the first recording line - up was the best.
@StayUgly But mr. Rosenfeld is still in the band. I was talking more about the guys who left. If they kept that line up from Fist full of metal, who knows what would have happened. The first record was there best.
some of this was shown in their "behind the music" episode. never thought i would ever see this! you are fucking ace for posting this!
would give anything to see footage the short-lived hardcore version of anthrax called "the diseased" ... scott on vocals/guitar, with charlie and frankie.
Oh yeah i now see, cool vid MMM! Thanks for posting. I just watched hastily with intrigue thinking it sounded a little like Joey when he spoke. But you can hear it's Neils wicked bellows. WOW - they've had soem great singers! XpropainX - I think it might be you thats 'under the influence' to make those sort of comments!
I like a lot Neil Turbin, he was very well equipped with vocal that times. I dont support thrash metal nowadayws anymore because everyone sings growling and high pitches is out of fashion. It seems to be easiers to get low vocals or growling singers, instead it's very difficult what Turbin did.
I kinda agree with you. I don't mind growling/screams in thrash metal, aslong they fit the music. I prefer clean vocals over growled. Too bad I can't hit notes. :p my voice is kind of heavy. :(
@maxxowar I would suggest you give the lower stuff a try. Neil's one of my favorites, but I'm just saying that generally the lower stuff is being done primarily for effect because it fits the dark and heavy music.
@maxxowar agreed....except i'm still into metal.........when i sing, i don't do the cookie monster deicide type growling vocals.........my voacls are much still in the higher range......the way metal singing should be.
wow! an amazing gem!! I've been searching for long time to find stuff from this era of anthrax. thank you much for posting. do you have the rest of this show?
