hi how did u managed to chage your fuel level and make tyres realistic as they can wear and tear? i cant do it in my ps3 game and how did u managed to record tis video and put on youtube?
@funkymcmunky hahah :P well, I have only played Spa for about 2 hours combined in that game. (Havent been playing really since I made this video. Been to busy and worn out when I would have had time.) So it's basicly just my "standard" setup, with Spa in mind. And then with a few tweaks to fit in it perfect. I usually always start out more or less with the same setup. Though with some differences ofcourse like in Camber, compared to what track it is.
@funkymcmunky But to try and answer your question. Spa is really a somewhat mix of everything a racetrack can offer. So it's also a matter of your driving style. But personally I prefer SOFT Anti-roll bar in front, hard in the rear. Medium/hard suspension. Very aggressive toe&camber. And a neutral wheight/breaking balance. With a top speed that hits at 80% of the straght covered. Thats the what I prefer. I feel it allows a driving style like Button's. And also Hamilton's for overtakings. :P
@funkymcmunky / @ everybody. Dont get me wrong im not comparing my self to those 2 driving god's. :P Just trying to simulate their driving styles in one mix. In a game ^^
@skvakagud lol just recently got the game and spas a track i've always liked in previous games, was just unsure if speed or grip is the key for a decent lap time ? because as you say its a proper track with a bit of everything, cheers for the tips.....would it be cheeky to ask what front and rear downforce you go with :) ? and also whats your fave track ?
@funkymcmunky Ah i see thats awesome. :D A great game for "gaming driving pleassrure". And a decent mini-simulator IMO *giggles*. And sure u can, My downforce settings on Spa is about 5-6 as I recall. o: And personally my experience in the 2011 game, is that grip is definetely the key! And my favorite track in F1 would probably have to be Spa. Though I do fancy both Yeongam, Buddh & Yas Marina and perhaps Suzuka alot as well. :) Though I'm a big fan of GT5 & nordschleife as well. :P
@skvakagud 5-6 sounds better than the 3-4 i go with......thinks theres to many slower corners to make or lose time than there is on the straights ??? think your right about the grip factor, would have to say spa, Montreal and sao paulo are the tracks i prefer as i probably know them best, great game and very enjoyable to play.....apart from reversed grid results where everyone trys to be 1st coming out of the first corner (myself included lol) though i now get its best just to avoid the carnage
@funkymcmunky Ah yeah Montreal and Sao Paulo are also definetely great tracks. Though I find them been abit to short, and narrow for those duels. That lasts for several corners in a row. :p But awesome tracks doing timeattack on imo. And when it comes to starts. I cant help my self but going for it just abit ;p Specially when the game seems to not concider marbles from the whole week-end. Which makes the "hero-line" much more usable in the first laps. Than what they maybe should be. :p
@skvakagud thanks for the tips, hope you dont mind me picking your brain, tried to get different set ups from different forums but the set ups and times people are posting for certain tracks are slower than the ones i have done, just found spa a tricky track to get the set up right so look forward to trying out your set up later, cheers m8 :-)
@funkymcmunky hey no problem :) I just hope you will find it useful. And btw, do you play this on ps3? Maybe I should get my arse on sometime and race with you then ^^ ?
@skvakagud tried the set up last night mate and noticed the diffrence in the first few corners straight away :-) yeah ps3 and i've been on nearly every night since i got it 3 weeks ago, much to my missus displeasure lol whenever your up for a race mate gimmie a shout, no doubt you'll probably lap me if its 20% or over but it wouldnt be the first time ive been lapped :-)
@funkymcmunky Was the difference usable then? :D And awesome. =) As said, im abit busy lately. And whenever I have freetime im usually completely knacked. But I'll let you know as soon as I feel like it for sure. :D And hey dont be so hard on your self. :b let's just take it as a practise lesson then. ^^ I can alwasy share some tips..
@funkymcmunky and yeah personally I think its crucial to be able to get thrue as fast as possible thrue most of the corners. . Though you may want to try and cut some downforce from the rear. And get a setup that can balance it thrue the corners neatly. So you can avoid having as much drag when you cant use drs. :) And besides faster times. It also makes it easy'r to stay on track. And be consistent. o:
Your a natural! I love cars, it was an genetic trate from my father, I picked up from him. I loved cars and study cars for years. My favorite car is the McLaren MP4-12c GT3!
@RACING51211 ah thanks I guess. :D And I think I picked it up from my dad as well. :) Used to just like them on a more extensive level than people around me. But now im just crazy with cars lol. -And is that the Le Mans racer John Nielsen drove? I cant remember right now, lack of sleep lol. Anyway, add me up as friends. :) We probably have loads of "favorite/like" video's we can share in the future!
@pietjo10 Ah ok :D Btw, why are u writing this ? Are u just trying to feel cooler than somebody, who has done less than 30 laps on the track. And less than 150 laps in total in the game? I cut a second off from one lap to the other... I.E. Im still not even down to shaving miliseconds off = I still got alot to pull out of it.. -Cmon people, I didnt ask for you to state a random lap time, that I have no clue how hard you been practising to get.. Go feel cool somewhere else...
@magicmichele2 and not to sound aggresive or like a prick.. But im pretty sure i dont mention "state ur laptime u have achieved. And that alone" ? I ask if u can tell where I can do better.. Not just that its possible to do better.. Ofcourse it is ? Be constructive m8 ;) ..
@magicmichele2 in timeattack :) ? Because you mention Legend level, and that has nothing to do with timeattack. And there are differences in how the cars handle in the different game modes. :) ( Mutliplayer equal/2011. Or SP/co-op carreer? ) :) And u saw the last lap right? Compare that to the second.. I drop over a second. In other words, I can still shave time off for plenty of laps to come. :p Reason why im mentioning this, is beacuse there is no POINT in ur comment.? You proud or? just info?
@DriftXperience27 ah thanks m8 :b . And I havent mastered anything I reckon. :P .: And yeah its definetely mental.. I mean. 2g when letting go of the gas? Not even breaking.. Just letting go <.< . Dont even wanna think about the forces they get everytime they slam the breaks.. Or tracks where they run out of water. because they have to drink so much. Which ends up with them been semi-dehydrated when they finnish the race.. Incredible...
@skvakagud its really ridiculous and alot harder than ppl think. 2g when braking? i never knew that. and yo i am building my own cockpit fully from scratch ill post videos soon once it gets started. i already have the car seat i just need to build the actual wood part. its gonna be awesome when im done and ill be drifting allday
@DriftXperience27 ah damn cool bro =) looking forward to see it then.. And its not when breaking.. It's when liftingoff the gas = 2 g's.. So from full throttle to zero throttle, nothing else.. that gives em 2'gs.. ( feel twice as heavy. ) . :) When they SLAM the breaks on at 200 mp/h'ish.. They get about 4-5 g's if I dont remember wrong. :) - An F16 pilot is trained to take up to about 10 G's as the extreme. But not every 7-15 second. For 2 hours. :p
@skvakagud oh yea i kno i meant let go of gas i dunno why i put braking. ye the actual cockpit might start tomorrow cuz im having my friend do it in tech class. (constructon)
@DriftXperience27 ah awesome m8 =) I havent played in a looong time now so.. But when you get it done. Should we perhaps seriously get together and make a drift video? I real "gt5 drift sim" video :p *giggles* lol!
@skvakagud yes i cannot wait to start again. btw i have to start all over n beat the game again n get all ma cars again. :( formatted due to scary problems with graphics.
@DriftXperience27 ah damn bro :( sucks.. I'll try help ya out get some cars back. =) just lemme know when u think u have time, to start up gt5 with me q: and lets nail sum videos ^^
@harrychalcraft where exactly do u mean. :) ? And yeah sometimes shortshifting is better. Rather than been in the perfect gear. Specially in 1-2 gear. 500bhp vs 700bhp. the 700 bhp isnt faster the first 30m anyway in that low speed so. And by that time, the engine rev's is so high up. That you gain speed. By not having to shift gear. And risk not landing it perfect. ( this is primarily for race use, you wanna be abit bonkers in Q ofcourse ;P )
Were you using prime tyres? You moved through the menus too fast I couldn't see. If so, you went through Eau Rougue full throttle, something I got the hang of during our practice session. =)
Just a heads up, did you know that the Mclaren covers a large amount of the screen in cockpit view when you're full lock? Doesn't happen in any of the other cars I've noticed.
Good video man, I envy the day I am good as you are!
@harrychalcraft I see I never answered this comment apperently o: I was using soft as you can see by the yellow writing on the tires. :) Super soft = red. Soft = yellow. Hard = white. And yeah the McLaren does have abit of an unfortunate view compared to some of the others. But after playing GT5 for to long in cockpit only, it's still way more visibility than "im used to". And thanks alot for the compliment. =) If there is any tips you feel I might be able to give. Dont hesitate to ask!
@MrWiLSo234 Cheers m8 =) And I sure do hope so o: It is one of the main reasons why gt5 can get abit old to me occasionally.. It misses the epic tracks. That are nice to drive on as well, besides been epic.. I can only come up with nordschleife in GT5 really.. Monaco is epic yes. And the place to win. But not the place to race for "driving pleassure".. That carry's on to the game as well I reckon.. Monza is ofcourse nice as well. But is to repetative. And to much based on good exits only fx.
