  • that buffalo lost its soul...

  • Too much work, it's a thousand times easier to use levels contrast and unsharpen mask combos... WAY easier. Scan everything, create one process of the first page and then set all the scans(of same quality) to the batch process and BAM done.

  • Can you explain that clearer and what program, instructions, etc. ?

  • Photoshop...I'll think about posting a vid if it helps. You can create an 'action' by recording the process of one sheet and apply that action to a batch process of many documents... combining specific level adjustments, contrast fixes and maybe even channel tweaks with the filter>sharpen>unsharpen mask you can make clean lines and clean up your drawing lightning fast. All it takes is a little time to set up the correct action and make sure that the quality of all the scans are the same.

  • Oh okay, i'm comfortable with photoshop. Can you tell me where i can tell it to save the action and apply it to the batch?

  • there are much better programs for scanning traditional hand-drawn animation and compiling the drawings into a timeline or "X-sheet" . I would recommend TVP Animation (aka "TVPaint") . There are other animation specific programs you can use , too but TVP is the most versatile and feature-rich in my opinion. Having to process your drawings through Photoshop first is adding too many extra steps. It's too cumbersome , especially when animation-specific programs such as TVP exist.

  • Rick astley does tutorials?
