Your video was very informative and was a learning experience for me. I am much interested in westside barbell speed day. Your video was something I was looking for. I will definitely keep coming back for more.I have also stumbled upon some useful videos about Westside Barbell training at youtube.com/user/TheWestsidebarbell...
chains fucking genius!!! i never thought of that but they increase cuz ur picking up more chain towards the top where lifts are normaly easy! wow great idea
@problematicboyfriend The owner of the gym I go to from time to time is a heavy bencher and he's on the warrior diet, I guess it works cuz he can see the veins in his lower abs and he benches in the ballpark of 600. I don't know what his max is but I've seen him do 7 plates off boards. There's no point to what I'm saying, cuz it's rare, so you're still right. I'll shut up.
just starting doing westside barbell training regime have a few questions, would appreciate if u can answer them can I train chest twice a week tuesday heavy day , friday Dynamic Effort same with squats/deads ( monday/thursday) ? am I suppose to train abs at all ? cause when I do, I get a great 6 pack easily, but it makes me weaker, if I don't do abs at all , after 4 weeks my bench goes up by 10 kg
You don't train chest, you train the bench press. There are 2 days for it; max effort day and then the dynamic effort day, separated by 72 hours. Abs should be trained on squat/DL days, but the point isn't a 6 pack; the point is for stability in barbell lifts.
Go and read the 8 Keys articles by Dave Tate (look it up on google.) Those should answer the majority of your questions.
they give a variable resistance throught out the range of motion. when the bar is on your chest the chains gather on the floor and are lighter. when youlock out the chains come off the floor and makes the bar heavier
I don't understand the chains. I see people using them, but why not just add more weight

@jayfry710 I have just started using chains and bands at my Gym, you should see the looks I get, but I dont care
If you could only do one bench workout a week how would you structure it ? would you focus on dynamic or heavy or a combination ?
