thanks - didnt have harps to check, missed earlier comment - i will say the low flat seven, whole seven, your hole 3 draws in first pos - as tight as those of mr magic dick salwitz - whose 2004 show in Scotia turned my head as much as H Levys masterclass here-- but kim's melody flow is better that the late mr paul's, phrasing is funkier in my view - anyway im thinking..cross harp is overrated all in all

hey thanks Kurtis .... I thought it was played on a D harp .... and I almost got all the notes out of it .... even the low end .... but thought maybe he played cross harp on a LOW D .... now I'll have to try it on the A harp in 1st pos

what kind of harp is Kim playing ... I play this tune on a diatonic hohner special 20 in the key of "D" ... but can't get all the notes ... it can't be a chromatic ... you can't bend notes like that on a chromatic

@koolharp Dude, this is played by Kim in 1st position on an A harp....Great song to practice to!!!! Dig how he gets the blow bends on the 10,9.and 8 hole and then flows to the 6 blow...Amazing stufff!!!! Best 1st position player in my book!!!!!

Do you guys read the description? Fab T-birds with Duke Robilard and kid Bangham! JLV was long gone.. Duke came in for a couple of years for the fun. Do you all know him? As John Hammond says "One of God's five greatest guitarists" Kid is no slouch either!

my fav t-birds line-up..kim.jimmie lee,preston on bass,and francis on drums.... it's funny how ever since jimmie lee retired they have needed 2 guitarist in the band

If you checked out the band from 95-thru 2001 ..they had one bad ass guitar player ..and his name was Kid Ramos. On some of those nights seeing them play live back then.. I may even taking Ramos over Jimmie Vaughan. Kid Bangham who played in the early 90s for a couple of years was hot as stew too. There's no Jimmie Lee..lol.

Ramos is sure enough hot but as hard as he tries he is still trying to fill in for Jimmie and noone can do that. You will be hard pressed to find any guitar player who had that subtle sizzle that JLV had in his prime. Not to mention the guy just emaninated his own brand of total COOL.
