Fruit makes me so cold! I'm transitioning into LFRV from High Raw & cooked. I would like to feel warmer... maybe being cold is part of detox when we first start out..?
@SarahsHolisticHealth Put the heating on? lol, at first it just make take some getting used to. I found that the more I exercise and therefore increase fitness, metabolism and blood flow, the warmer I feel despite eating frozen fruit smoothies in winter! (and believe me I am a sun-worshipper, I hate the cold). Get moving, work up a sweat before you eat :-)
lol, i can't live without the heating atm! I work out everyday, but not always before i have my first smoothie or juice. I will try doing that and see if it helps.. Thanks xx
@SarahsHolisticHealth I just took up skipping, I can only dp about 5-7 minutes but my god it makes me hot, the heat lasts for several hours and I am sat here in summer clothes, heating off, window open and eating melon! I used to be the kinda gal that had the heating on in summer. It will get better :-)
@grassrootsvegan No I don't actually, the body can store vitamin D for about 6 months so I make sure I get plenty of sun exposure during the sunnier months to carry me through the darker half of the year. I am also planning on moving somewhere much warmer and sunnier this year too :-)
u may wanna do some research on the climate lie about co2, because as they do with food they do with all other things, lie lie and lie
climate change is as far as my research goes related to the sun primarily and co2 emisions have nothing to do with it. yet they do modify the weather with chemtrails and haarp.
so do yourself a favour and go behind the climate crap to see the truth
Although if we eat the fibre of the fruit then it is better. Fructose is the sugar that makes us put on fat around the belly. Whereas other fats go to the legs and bum. Im interested in the fruit diet but dont want to cause inbalances
@asmygeelong What research says this? from studies I have read fat around the middle is related to high cortisol levels which are caused by stimulant use (drugs like caffeine, chocolate, refined sugar sports drinks etc) and stress. Check out all the fruitarian athletes that abound, they have flat stomachs which ripple with muscle. Studies done on isolated fructose cannot be extrapolated to whole fruit - this doesn't make scientific sense
@asmygeelong fats go to fat cells and sugar goes to muscle (and liver) there is no fat or sugar map that takes things to the 'legs' or 'middle' that is not how metabolism works. I suggest some further studies on biology in particualt metabolic pathways and physiology as what you are saying is scientificly invalid
I never have antibiotics, nor use chemical soaps/personal care products. I think the main problem was having refined sugar at some stage. Ive since cut that out and slowly introducing fruit. I have read that too much fructose is bad for us too tho, especially refined.
@asmygeelong As biological frugivores humans are designed to be at their healthiest on fruit, candida overgrowth occurs in western populations with refined and processed foods stuffs and an incorrect acid/alkaline balance plus massive overuse of antibitotics, chemical soaps and feminine hygiene products. It is refined and processed sugars and yeasts that are the main dietary issue - removing fruit from the diet is like throwing the baby out with the bathwater :-) xx
@GuillaumeChartrand1 apparently they are able to be grown here in the UK too :-) which would be nice so then I could actually try a fresh one not a dehydrated one.
Yin and Yang is not a religious, nor simply a philosophical belief... Yin Yang is a great part of Chinese Medicine... I recommend you the following book, '' Healing with Wholefood'' ... apart from that, thanks for your video has great insight ;)
I drank the water before morning run, no problem at all, in fact, run faster than ever, so thanks for the idea. Also. again this morning, watermelon breakfast of 2.7 L gave me the chills :)
I had a spot at the nutrition science 3 year program at the University but I felt I wasn't ready for the "plate model" (Swedish version of the four food groups I guess) and I canceled it this week. Perhaps next year :) I'm only 100% 801010 for a few days, I'd better have more experience before Uni
In my unscientific experience, water melon always gives me chills :) Once, I heard that the Chinese consider melon to be a cooling food. I guess even if I hadn't heard that, I'd still feel the sensation of chills, but that's just a guess. I usually have 3 L of water melon for breakfast, but not before my 1.5 L of water.
I haven't tried running after having water in the morning, I just plonk on the clothes and go out there, right after I wake up. Tomorrow I'll try the water before running.xxx
@angelbe88 haha yes exactly, I dont get this 'oh that food is warm and damp and that one is cool and damp' tis such nonsense. Food is fuel and building blocks not some esoteric wu-wu magic spell. Like 'of take this supplement as it opens the heart chakra and balances your kundalini' oh really? all that from bottle of processed powdered stuff from a food factory and flown half way round the world? Do I hear the sound of rawfood dollars all chiming 'katching!' ;-D
It's part of their training in chinese medicine theory and the same goes with ayurvedic medicine. I guess it's hard for them to go beyond what they learned in school? Yes and you are right about the supplements. They all sell supplements. I know a naturopathic doctor who makes most of her money selling supplements. They may be better than pharmaceuticals but the approach of just giving a pill for an ill is still the same.
@airheadLana I want to travel the Med region for about 2 years before deciding where to stay long term, I love the Canaries, Azores, Algarve, South Spain and Balearics, Corsica, Greek islands, Italy etc, etc. I plan to move from retreat/spa to retreat/spa offering my holistic services (see my website The Facelift Food Coach) and just see what happens :-)

What about if you have a problem with candida? As far as eating fruits and feeding candida. Ive been told to cut fruit out until I clear the fungus.

@GuillaumeChartrand1 I have read that book and the concept on dualism is from a spirirual/religeous philosophy NOT from biological science

the only cold foods are the ones in the fridge. : D
It's annoying when acupuncturists talk about raw foods being cold, it's simply untrue. Most of the ones I've known don't look so healthy either.

Also buying fruit supports the planting of new trees/plants...without destroying the plant itself. Best thing for global warming, if you ask me ;)
