i got ones of the new standard strats when they came out. i love it! dont actually need a new guitar. i would however love a hardtail strat for getting set up for slide. hopefully fender bring one out in 2011. even a mexican one would be awesome!

hey i really want a tele but i'm a les paul player so that's took a while to get used to a tele, when i buy one should i buy a american or a mexican? or just play in music store because there are mexicans wich sound like americans and also bad sounding american.(when i buy one i sure gonna play on, don't be worried :P)

Hmmmmm... plenty of history of the instrument, but not much demo of the instrument. Video title is misleading. The SuperSonic Amp demo is better and he's playing the same guitar.

Wish he could have played the instrument. But a really interesting statement. In my country (Finland) Fender is street credible. U.S.A. made better than Mexican, then maybe Japanese... Squier not credible. And pre-CBS Fenders cost a fortune. Because they are so much better? No, just because they are more rare, and because our idols used to play them ;-)

Fender today are just okay.

Early Fenders are just mythical.

The Tele hasen't changed too much, but the Strat has. The new Strats lack the organic tone that the old ones had. Fender is stuck in this tie between Pre-CBS and CBS era. They need to restore things to pre-CBS. But they are great sounding guitars, I love them.

The woods are better quality, its less heavy and finish on the neck and body is allot better so it as better feel.
