The reason that the NIV leaves verse 21 is because the NU Text primarily the Alexandrian omits this part while the 3 text that the KJV translators had available (ErasmusStephanus Beza manuscripts) don't have this either but through "textual criticism" added the line which is understandable.
They did the same with the "Common Johanneum" as well.

Each "cluster" is a circular ball composed of billions of stars, each with its own orbit. As science states, these clusters are moving so rapidly that it would be impossible for the stars to remain together if the universe were very old.

We know this because, as you too know, large stars radiate energy very rapidly. Take our Sun for instance; it's a fairly large star, but many more stars are even larger, generating 100,000 to 1M times our Sun's energy.

We also know that comets are constantly striking our planet, but what most don't realize is that we gain water with each strike. Working carefully with the seedlings and giving the same type of watering and other climatic conditions they would normally receive, that found that much of the time the bristlecone pines produce two growth rings a year. This is important because it indicates that the sequoias are probably the oldest things on Earth.

With all due respect, your wrong. Your opinions are just that... OPINIONS. This should not guarantee "tax exempt status". Most church organizations do profit, they dont have to report it. Love offerings my ass, people are BUYING THE BOOKS, and the authors are not selling them at COST. So cut the smack brother.
Nor should/does voting for OBAMA Guarantee HELL. That is more OPINION. I guess some folks opinions are just special.....

That's a long poem, and made me think. I think you're off-base because the Bible, especially the epistles, talks about the cross and it's significance to Christians. Without the death of Christ on the cross, there would be no Christianity. Also, I'm not sure how the Jews' worship of Tammuz relates to the cross as a Christian symbol, but perhaps I missed something.

and utter HATRED for God's people. God created us to love us and to love him and each other. We are to preach HIS gospel, not our own. We are to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. We are to Love one another because we are all beautiful creations of God. And to say that only men can speak in a church is not only complete contradiction of God's word, but also absurd and very hateful. Why should only men be permitted the freedom of speaking out against you? You claim to speak the word of God?

How many times do I have to tell you that the "AUTOGRAPHA" is missing we don't have the actual Word of God anymore since 70 AD. And that ALL Translations are subject to error, for example KJV doesn't have the Lord's name (the unspeakable four letters) and itself paraphrases it.
Now omitting the God's name is far worse than not including "SODOMITE" in it don't you agree?

Virginia Mollenkott was never one of the 15 members of The NIV Committee on Bible Translation (CBT). There is a big difference between being a consultant and being a committee member.
She only consulted on todays language changes. She herself mentions that she would have taken the word "homosexual" out which the NIV clearly has.

1. You don't know what the originals actually say that's the point because the "AUTOGRAPHA" is not in existence anymore. However ther are more than 500 versions of texts out there! You have the Codex Alexandrinus, Codex Ephraemi, Cotex Vaticanus, Cotex Sinaiticus, Copic Versions, Latin Versions, Siriac and Egyptian versions to name a few.
2. ErasmusStephanus Beza text where the ONLY ones used to translate the KJV and it isn't even a word for word translation example 1 John 5:7 is not found.

You have to recognize that there are variations between textual manuscripts and that KJV itself had various changes in 1611 to it.
So you need to understand that the KJV is not the Word of God and it too needs to be tested to the earliest manuscripts available.

1. 1st John 5:7 (other wise know as the Common Johanneum) is not found anywhere in any Manuscript not even in the TR.
2. If the modern translations are "corrupt" then according to your standard the KJV is more corrupt. How do they explain the many places where the KJV has the simple phrase "believe," such as at Mark 9:23 and Romans 1:16 and 10:4? Is the KJV guilty of teaching "another gospel" because it does not have the specific phrase "in Him" or "in Christ" at these places?

The reason that the NIV leaves verse 21 is because the NU Text primarily the Alexandrian omits this part while the 3 text that the KJV translators had available (ErasmusStephanus Beza manuscripts) don't have this either but through "textual criticism" added the line which is understandable.
They did the same with the "Common Johanneum" as well.

I mostly use the NKJV, NASB, and occasionally I use the NIV.
I like the NASB though because of Bruce Metzger from Princeton's over see in the translation.
