I think Cate Blanchett (Marion) is beautiful. She has a mature beauty and I would rather her be played by Cate than some air-headed dumb looking bimbo. ><
@davidaitz Gracias pero poco menos de un mes atrás lo averigüé la canción se llama "words" el grupo es The Christians estan en You Tube gracias de nuevo......
I love this tune heaps, my husband downloaded a heap of 80s music and it came from the band called the Christians song called Words, it was a good find
If anyone is looking music like this, i would recommend listening to Mike Oldfield's Voyager album (it has this song, but a slightly different version), and also, I would recommend to check out soundtracks from the game Witcher, it also has beautiful music.
I think @95jjs is referring to the Robin + Marion dance part, which is women of Ireland; @frozenmohawk is referring to the beginning piece of music which was incredibly difficult to find.
This song is "Lessons from the Empty Glass" by the Killigans from Lincoln, Nebraska. Look it up in the search box and there's a sweet live version uploaded.
@95jjs Ummm, I'm personal friends with the individual (Chris Nebesniak) who wrote this little ditty. His name is in the credits, he had a check written out to him by the movie guys who put this in the film and I've seen his band play this song live on numerous occasions. Pretty sure I'm right on this one.
@frozenmohawk Thanks a bunch. Been looking for it since forever. I like the way they redid it for the movie. Do you know if the tune is the Killigan's original song? Or did they adapt it from something else?
Thanks so much everyone for your comments i have been able to know this song's title.. I love this song its so smooth and relaxing.. Thanks to you memetom16.. Thanks a lot.. =)
Exelent! I have also been looking for a looong time.. but I would also like to see the village party scene.. there's that nice foodstamper song, about honey :) hope you know what im on about.. I would really really be pleased if you uploaded it! :D
I love how Robin & Marian's relationship develops. She is so strong in the way she's managed Nottingham w/o much help, & at the same time, trying to hide her pain & secret insecurities as she uses brash sarcasm & bossy assertiveness to hide her fears. Robin is so patient with her, treating her the way a good lady deserves to be treated, with respect & honor. Serving her, putting her needs before his own. Their relationship is an example to me to treat my sweetheart better, & be a better man.
does any one know how to get this version of "women of ireland" i honetly think that no other version ive listened to is more beautiful than this exact one
@san18ful year, she's so talented:) but i've become a big Cate's fan after Benjamin Button, so i waited Robin Hood very much and i'm so in love with it
@remy1603 Hahah I now also saw the 2 elizabeth movies with her in the leading role and i think she is really amazing!! also in notes on a scandall (love the movie) and babel enz... i think she is amazing in al her movies!!
@remy1603 hahah I watched Robin Hood yesterday with a friend who had never seen the movie (what a shame!!!) and i lived it again even more.. (seen it 8 times now.. I bought the dvd just a month ago :p )
@remy1603 hahah you 2:) you must take care of that.. He sure has to see the movie!!! because it is amazing. and even for guys their is something to like (the fighting) and for the girls it is the romance between robin and marion:) in a few months i will play marion in a dramaplaylikethingie that a friend of me wrote:) love it
I love this song and dance.... very soft and tender. Can't understand why they didn't put it on the soundtrack. Great movie, was refreshing the parts that were different.
Funny question, do we know what kind of dance they do? My fiance and I recently saw this movie and thought it would be cute to do this dance as our first dance at our wedding.
@AdamAVFC90 No, I don't know what music is the first that sounds, I just know the music that Robin and Marion dance. Maybe anyone that has seen the film knows, but personally I don't XD
@AdamAVFC90 Hello mate. The first bit of music is "Lessons from the Empty Glass" by The Killigans. Although the version in the film is a re-recording of it with traditional instruments.
@memetom16 its when they are dancing in that building and the guy is playing guitar, and they are drinking mead and little john says to a girl "im going to make you smile" lol
hey, can you upload the bar scene or actual song (i can't find it) of when they're in the bar and the guy with the rhaspy/deep voice is singing the folk song
It's an excelent version. I've loved the tune but couldn't realized it was Women of Ireland. Blanchett and Crowe are a beautiful couple in this movie. Thank you guys for posting it.
The song is called "Women of Ireland". It's a folk song and it has been rearranged and performed by lot of artists, however this one is my favorite!! I think this version is performed by Alan Doyle, unfortunately never been released on any album nor single.
