@Mindraker1 Sometimes, they have bus monitors or just someone like that. I know I had a bus monitor on my bus but she was 20 something. Then again, if those are junior high kids, there's possibly a high schooler on there too. He might've been the last one to be off.

The bus belongs to the Knox Community School Corp. The Bus driver had a health issue when driving and was unable to control the bus. The student seen hitting the roof, bit part of his tongue off. No one died and thanks to the older student, everyone walked away. *this information provided by a friend of many of the students on the bus.*

S90. show me a kid that can't put on /off there own seatbelt ?.My kids could by the time they were 3. A driver assist for over 50 kids?Are they all armless? Chances are in a lot of serious bus accidents the driver in incapacitated due to injury. Most of the injuries to the kids/adults are caused by being tossed around inside of the bus.Check out the other videos of bus accidents where passengers on one side of the bus are thrown into the opposite side.Still think no belts are a good idea.

I used to fight our local school board about the issue of buses and the lack seat belts. Strange thing is, in the province of British Columbia and to my understanding the rest of Canada all vehicles must be equipped with Seat belts and must be worn. including Fire ,Ambulance and Police commercial trucks etc. Only vehicles that are not required are(except for the driver) are school buses. (Taxis drivers in the city also exempt) I guess the cargo they carry (school buses) is not worth it?

@bcjake01 If all those kids were belted in and that bus DID go underwater, how many would have drowned due to not being able to release the belts in time with no driver to assist? Same in a fire scenario, those seats go up fast. The buses are design with high back padded seats no more that 24 inches apart. The kids might break a nose or arm in a bad accident, but will be able to escape before a fire. Some busses will carry upwards of 50-80 kids with only the driver to assist.
