The Sparda VS Mundus combat is just epic!,i loved to summon the Dark Dragon!

And those wild and large Sword thrusts and swings that took half of the screen with the second part on the lava platformes!!

Mundus is the best boss ever!Vergil in DMC3 was cool too and could take Mundus's place as a final boss.But Sanctus...He is just a coward!The good part with Sanctus is when you kick his ass with Nero but still with Mundus you transform into Sparda and have the largest sword shown in playstation history!!!DMC4 has lot's of great bosses for me and DMC3 too but nothing is like DMC1!!!!!!!

I do not know why everybody says they hated Devil May Cry 2.

It may not have been as good as 1 or 3 but it was the first one i played and i liked it.

The only problem with it was the targetting that and the moth boss and the element boss that can split into three heads.

Those parts annoyed the fuck out of me!

Other then that i liked it and had no problem with it.

I liked the final boss.

He was awesome ! (Mundus was better)

But the blob form annoyed me!

I finished this game when i was young, when Mundus came out of the statue and expands his wings, i totally shit a fucking brick! then the soundtrack, the gameplay, the level design i splooged everywhere. Devil may cry awoken my sexual nature XD

I haven't played 2 or 3, but I doubt either of them having a final boss like this one, or a Nelo Angelo type battle that can be won without resorting to cheap tricks *cough*AngeloCredoandDantein4*­cough* and the music in 4 just isn't as good as in this one.

@NickCaligo42 I forgot about that comment I put up, recently I had the misfortune of finding a preowned copy of DMC2 and snapped it up, I also got Sonic Heroes, Hitman Contracts and the original Devil May Cry, it was either £4.99 each or 4 for £10, I asked them at the store if they had a copy of DMC3, but they didn't so I settled for 2 to see why it's hated so much and oh boy one level in and I understood everything.

@Threadnaught Yeeeah... that's the game they made without telling the original DMC team. ^^; DMC3 they were an awful lot more careful with, it tells a much better story and reflects the tone of the original a lot better--and has WAY tighter gameplay than the first, I'll add, where 2 is a complete mess. Try and get a hold of the special edition sometime, if you can! You can unlock Vergil mode!

DMC 1 had so much more depth and it was harder. That and the horror theme it got going makes it the top.

lol DMC 1 was the best ever made game ever it really showed how powerful sparda and all, it was such more of an epic battle rather than just being the average dante in his normal demon form

Love how this game proved that Dante can get angry and sad and still be the biggest badass on the planet. He doesn't need to just crack jokes every 5 minutes, he doesn't need that crutch. If anything making his story more of a stuggle made his cockyness even funnier like he literally wasn't scared of anything even things he should be scared of...like a giant invincible demon god king.
