Btw movie fans, Sommer89014's channel is simply chock full of herion-related videos because he is obviously a junkie. So there ya go. Another idiot life-waster barks.
The film was quite shocking when released in theaters in 1970. The shooting-up scene (above) always struck me as being a little too realistic; Patrick McDermott was really good in his role.
And Joe is the boy's father, played by Brooks as an NRA toting full on hardcase that you wouldn't believe unless you saw it. This movie was like looking into the heart of the parent from hell and realizing that a lot of folks thought Joe was the hero.

The theme song is PURE inbred. GO AMERICA! Fight for your democracy and all that other bs you use to take over countries.

Peter Boyle's performance and the theme song, "Hey Joe" are almost worth another star on their own.

whos that guy? is it peter boyle?
klongiklongi 3 years ago
That's certainly not Peter Boyle. And the sound is so low as to be nearly inaudible.
chipchance 3 years ago
That IS Peter Boyle, he played the title role in this movie.
VirginSuicide77 3 years ago
This is Patrick McDermott. The junkie in this clip is Frank (McDermott). Not Boyle. Good movie.
chipchance 3 years ago
No I thought someone was saying that Peter Boyle WASN'T in Joe, I knew the guy in this particular clip wasn't him.
VirginSuicide77 3 years ago
Yes that is Susan Sarandon in her first feature film. She still looks the same these days, except much wiser and a better actress.
