It's amazing how this man went from a super babyface to the most electrifying wrestler.

Add the fact that his voice changed and his facial features went from a chubby samoan look to a skinnier looking diluted black (his eyes still carry that oceanic look) and hardened face. His character also changed and he was more confident.

The difference is about 13 years- wrestling in a different place entirely back then. The difference is also that Yoshi a is Japanese face, what the fuck else is he gonna do in WWE? Besides the era being different the gimmick was completely out of line with The Rock's real personality. Besides that it was really generic and one of those pointless gimmicks Vince would hand out.

We got sick of superstars wrestling big matches 3 times a year with half the match being rest holds.We wanted better wrestling the NEXT part was hating how cheesy it was.

Give a bit of credit to character changes. Austin found his Rattlesnake character in ECW. Triple H hit it off as a blue blood and everything went easy from there. Mick Foley was given an opportunity so its all simple from there. They gave him 'The Rock' gimmick with all that smarmy one-liners and come backs and it was all set!
