I noticed that two. but i think it was the writer's or director's idea to make Jamal talk like that because it breaks the stereotype that Black people speak slang/Ebonics or talk to fast and not speak properly.

In this episode, Rob learned a good lesson. Everybody needs a little help sometimes, and if you find yourself too proud and scared to ask for it, you'll only be causing yourself more trouble. So the next time you decide to get the big head and think that you can do everything by yourself, always remember, NOBODY has that capability.

I'm Canadian, but I don't quite understand what you mean. Then again, I live across the border from Detroit, so where I live is very Americanized. I know some people from Eastern Canada who really harshly pronounce the last consonants of the last word in a sentence; is that what you mean?

Yeah like when they say "wriTe" instead of when someone would normally say "writ-e" and barely make the T sound. I once knew a Canadian guy who did the same thing, especially with S's. You barely hear the last consonant of a word when people speak in my area of America, but when you say it like Jamal its really emphasized. It could be a New York thing, or maybe they told the actors to enunciate :)
