I live next to the factory. Sells are increasing on low level, specially to China, it is not sold in the US. Recently a newly styled model came out. Here in Dresden, Germany, we also have a lot of Russian girls as seen at 2:15 . Once automatics, always automatics, it's just better in all classes.

After having for a week Summer i Noticed.

1)Automatic (setting) climate control forged my front windows

2)Self leveling will make you think something is always going on with a car

3)Constant sensors messaging make you go Crazy

4)Getting from a stereo to a climate control or to other setting will make you stop

5)Stops OMG almost got in two accidents.(New brakes, new brake fluid, new brake rotors) Service is EXPANSIVE

7)inside mirror is the only option good.!

@151soccer they sold it in the United States. I thought it was in Europe only and we just had the A8 until I saw one for the first time today. So, I did some research. I found out it was sold from 2004-2006 but it didn't sell well. You can still find good ones on Auto Trader which I looked for and found many listings at dealerships they were probably trade-ins

Parts are not available so you have to wait, constant sensors problems, luck of climate vent control build, sound / vacuum control is piss of shit you can hear other cars that passing you every part in there engine or a drive train. poorly designed from beginning til the end

The main part people that own them don't maintain them, You'll be grad putting it on fire yourself after about a few months having it

It's not overpriced, you can get one in much better condition than an S Class / A8 / 7 series for the same price. And the Phaeton is supposedly a much better car. The weight of it is slightly worrying though.

I had if for a week so i drove it like i usually do on BMW or Mercedes(s)... It drive great only if you are on a back it had all does nice futures that came handy impressing but comparing it to my BMW(s) at many times my 540i rocked taking off, braking, taking corners, and many more

Going to a shop will kill you unless somebody else pays 1,000-5,000$ to service it.

the Phaeton might just be the best car of the last 10 years. Here in the U.S. people couldnt bring themselves up to buy such an outstanding vehicle from VW. It's all brand marketing... I seen such cases before. I remember the Olds Aurora and now the Genesis from Hyundai. Its trully a pitty except for those lucky enough to own them.

It`s a very good car, but design of frontal part of the car should be more impressive

It is signature Volkswagen rimskijpapo. The hood can also take 190mph without any sort of wind vibrations. It is also classic to their Jetta design.

It is German. Functionality above all. Funktionalität übertrifft alles. The fact that it is able to remain stable at 190mph is beyond perfect. Which is overkill when you think about it, the car is locked in Europe at 155mph.

So the frontal design may not look sporty, but in an engineers eyes, it is beautiful.

It is an amazing car, its engineering and build quality are simply out of this world. Shame it never had a glory like an s-class, but on the other hand it has more appeal thanks to that. And i love design, understated elegance. Great, simply great car.
