  • Hey Darryl Just bought the tig welder off of you a little bit ago works great cant wait to build my stove

  • @copleygsxr I am not Darryl, I just make the videos. Thanks for watching the video, though. I went by his house today and his stack was smokin' so, he's obviously using it again this year. good luck with your "stove".

  • I put LED lights everywhere in my house...if I didn't need to heat the water heater and the house with electricity, then I would be paying $40/month in electricity...otherwise I'm paying $350.00. I got a 300Gal oil drum and a old oil compressor tank and I plan on doing this soon. I also have wood for a life time since I live in the woods.

  • @younitehumanity Cool! Good luck! If you need extra info, pm me. Paul

  • I like your work and resourcefulness. I wish I had the tools and space to build something like this. Maybe it would be a good project to work on this coming summer and get ready for the winter.

  • @FG37209 The supply of free wood is most important. If you have to pay someone to weld or cut your tanks or metal, but can do the rest.....you will still save substantially. Thanks for watching.

  • find a old coal furnace, burn coal and wood, you dont have fix the fire only every 12 hours thats once in morning and once at nite, build a sheet metle box around it wiyh a blower at bottem and your house will be so hot you will have to open the windows!

  • @sidebarr7 I've seen that used in garages.

  • now you can heat your house on corn cobs and garden trash.

  • @Wazztheweasel ...or weasel carcasses. However, most people rely on foreign oil...and it's a shame.

  • Superb, but I liked your first one too!

What is the air intake like? I didn't see any vents? No grate either?

I swear this is the last winter of $400 oil fill ups.

    Thanks!

    John

  • @VintageWorkbench Thanks for watching. This one is more efficient. At 6:24 and 9:50 you can see 2 - 3/8" holes in the door. They are all the vent he needs. If it gets too much air he plugs a stick in one or both of the holes, to control the draw of fresh air. He uses no grate. He says it works great without it....the flame and heat are right on the tank and not a few inches away. Good luck, more questions...just ask. Paul

  • nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @frankie2234 Thanks for watching. Oil nations and power companies don't need our money. Burning wood is not clean but it is a way to be pretty much self reliant, energy wise. Solar, wind, hydro, whatever.....it's time to wean ourselves from our oil habit. With the constant war on the middle class, people will be forced to think outside the (electric) box.

  • Nice job! I will be using this for a build this summer. I'll have to find someone to do the welding for me though. :(

  • @Clicklc1500 I never met a welder that didn't drink. Trade 'em some of that wine!
