I remember going to my encampment at the former Camp Rell in Niantic, Connecticut. August 1-7, 2010. Great experience. The encampment is what is going to make you enlist or not. When I was a C/SA in the 186th Composite Sqad, the aerospace stuff was very boring. It didnt feel like the military. Left the unit 3 ays after the encampment but I still know the cadet oath and my faces and flanks.
Hey!! I was thinking of joining the civil air patrol. I have two questions first. 1. Does it matter on your religon to join? 2. What happens say if you are not very fit? Thanks
Hey! I just read your question and want you to know that CAP does not discriminate against religion. Many cadet units may take place in a church sometimes but that is due to lack of room to hold squadrons. CAP has everybody ranging from Christianity, to Judaism, to even Buddhism. CAP is diverse and definitely check it out. When it comes to weight. There are PT standards but that doesn't stop people form joining. Usually we help you out with PT and you get better as you go on. Hoped that helped.
@Shaunte106th thanks for the reply! That is good to know! I have already joined and I cant wait to go to encampment. That is very helpful! THanks! Hooah!
@cap0100 really how do you know i bet you coulndt find someone dying in the dead of night, you woulnt even be aloud in to the crash site, beleve me im on the ground team
Dude I just found this, I hadn't seen it since the last day of Encampment! Many thanks for having it up, it brings back great memories of great times.
