You dufus...have you ever been to a restaurant? Most places drop bread on your table whether you want it or not. Theirs looks untouched. Obviously the person taking the picture is the one with the dessert, or perhaps Gary is indulging himself in a flourless cake (which is what it looks like). And those glasses of alcohol you're giggling about? Those look an awful lot like iced teas to me. Nice try.
What an idiot! That could easily be tea and water. The bread and desert has not been touched. Good luck with your health. Follow the mantra. Eat less fat be healthy.
Ya you make sense Pal with 30 bananas and a head that's to big for your sick looking body. Start eating and get rid of the sugar your eating fruitman. i meant fruitcake!
i could be wrong, but doesn't Taubes recommend a low carb diet, not a "no carb at all" diet ? i know some of the primal diets allow for 100g of carbs a day.
you'd be hard pressed to find a restaurant that doesn't put a plate of bread rolls on the table, this is hardly evidence that the likes of taubes are fraudulent, and how do you even know that is an alcoholic drink ? for all you know they might have just been told to sit at the table for the photo op?.
I wondered the same thing because I've seen this photo before, but it struck me that the bread is THERE because none of them has eaten it. They're obviously at the "after dinner" part, and all the bread that gets brought in the beginning is still there (waitress didn't remove it because it hasn't been eaten). Like on Jimmy Moore's low carb diet cruise - they eat from the buffet the cruise boat provides for everyone. They just know what NOT to eat. In this photo I can't explain the dessert.
@MattyOfTheVale Excellent point about the bread. I also want to say that Taubes has made it clear in his book that some people are so prone to gaining weight with minimal carb intake that such people as they must abstain from all carbs if they want to lose weight. He has never said that one should NEVER eat a carb again. We do not know exactly what is in the glasses either.

Clearly,
A. No one EVER falls off a diet, or cheats occasionally. This has never happened in the history of man.
B. All of them a carb nazis, who proclaim that eating even a single carb will instantly kill you.
