Kumon is basically just repetitious memorization training, making kids solve questions like a robot. Although there's some benefit to it like memorizing basic rules of math like 2 X 6 = 12 and stuff. But other than that it kills your imagination and conceptual ability, and you end up dumber. That's why even in Japan, where kumon was originated, it is almost a dead method. To learn, study with U.S. school text books (usually they are the best in the world) and do your homework. And Play hard!

Schools are ineffective if they are mandatory, experience is the best teacher, not gay tutoring programs that don't even tutor you! Kumon hurts your grades, I used to get all As in seventh grade, but by 8th grade I got straight B's, C's, and D's. And my Iq dropped from 180 all the way down to 100. 80 POINT DROP!!!!! I WENT FROM GENIUS TO AVERAGE IN ONE YEAR! After my parents looked at my Iq point drop they pulled me out and began to fund any anti-tutoring organization they could find.

Kumon fuckin sux. ur friend made a good choice and quit kumon. score is a very good place! i had lots of fun and the coaches are really nice unlike the shitty kumon people who are confined to the dumb kumon method. plus they give good prizes like itunes giftcards, and u get to play basketball. plus no hmk anld u use a computer. the software adjusts automatically to ur level but slightly higher but not too hard, so u never get bored
