As in any city, Atlanta high parts where the crime rate is high. There are parts that are pedestrian friendly. One just needs to use caution when being out at night.....Never be alone out at night....

certain parts of city are alright like downtown and midtown and outer suburbs but atlanta has a lot of violence and gangs in parts of the ciyt

Atlanta has one of the most beautiful skylines and Jacksonville, Fl has one of the blandest skylines. Atlanta needs to keep on building them high!

I think Atlanta is a beautiful city, too. It has been about 28 years since I traveled through Jacksonville, FL...I remember being on a bridge looking out at the city....I need to visit that city. That time I merely passed through....Hope your week will be a GREAT ONE!

tommy...i'm the same way. i live in decatur, just 15 minutes from downtown, but i hardly ever find myself going into the city unless i have to. i love it tho, beautiful place...i came here 20 years ago to go to art school and never left!

Westin (except for lack of glare from glass). If anyone hasn't ever ridden the Westin's elevator to the top, it's a must see. Course I could learn to love your friend's view. (If Only!) Thanks for sharing.

I was on the balcony of my friend's condo. The 24th floor. The building is called The Spire. It is in Midtown Atlanta. I COULD NEVER AFFORD TO LIVE THERE...lol

@tommy30507 I live in an apartment in midtown but it's a little three story brick building with a courtyard. Honestly it's a bit run down and the neighborhood gets really loud on weekends from the nightclubs on my block and the clubbers leave trash all over the place (the city does a decent job of cleaning most of it up). But I love living in midtown overall, it's such a great place. I wish I could afford to buy a condo in a nice high-rise though.

So nice to hear from you. Thank you for your kind comments. I live about 45 minutes from downtown. The evening I shot this video, I was visiting a friend whose condo was on the 24th floor. I had my Minolta DiMage Z1. It has never taken great video. I have kept this video since Nov 2006. Tonight, I thought I might do something with it. I THANK YOU FOR VIEWING and COMMENTING!!! Hope you get to visit Atlanta someday soon.
