i locked the opacity (there's a little box up by where you create the layers and stuff; just check it.) this makes it so that you can only paint where you have laid down color. in other words all the pixles that are transparent will stay transparet. (sorry if you already knew so.) in my case the red.

then i took a the pencil tool and just colored over everything in the new color.

hmm, it's kinda weird to get used to starting out with a sillouette and then filling in the white, so you really have to know what you want white and what you dont', but once you get used to it it's kinda fun XD

i tweaked the style a bit and added more shading and detail to suit my taste more, though ^^
