I really love this song, listen to it like everyfuckingday. but, when i listen to this live...the vocals is really out of tune, and so are some of the instruments (in this specific video the instruments is ok thou).

Personally, I don't see too much wrong with this particular video.

Could it be you were just thrown for a loop because the person singing on the record (Jonathan Meiburg) is no longer with the band and they have the bassist sing his parts?

I have been to see Okkervil twice and both time Will was drinking straight whiskey for the whole set. Don't get me wrong, he's a brilliant songwriter but I think he should lay off the alcohol a little.
