Hi ,komplexer vst doesn't work under windows 7 64 bit , any solution ??

also how to do to use area 61 as stand alone synthetiser ...i mean without carry a computer ... is it possible to enter the konplexer vst into the area 61 ,if yes how to do thanks in advance

Btw. Did anyone got the Komplexer running?

The installation process on Windows Vista/7 keeps telling me that the product is invalid....

Tried on XP and then it installs, but then the Komplexer will not run, and says it needs to be re-installed.. Anyone?

I really want to try out the Komplexer VST, there are some cool sounds in there, as I can run the demo version of the ftp-site from terratec.

okay, i'm posting this once again, because some troll marked the old comment as spam :(

there you'll find instructions on updating the area61's firmware.

this got me a fully working unit - which was stuck in test mode upon delivery.

after all this is really not a bad keyboard - definitely NOT worth 699 euros, but compared to the m-audio radium i used before, this thing rocks! built quality is also nice and it seems quite durable! :)

Hi there, the thing i've done is to try, try and try it over and over again, until the crc check finally succeeded, then the firmware update went like normal. It has to do with the keyboard keeps sending a signal that he's present, blabla. Just keep on trying. Worked for me, and the keyboard is not in 'testmode' anymore, and no more freez-ups of my display ! Yay! ;)

Hey NMGN403.

Feuerziege sent me the Instructions too. But they didn't worked so far.

I tried it on OSX Snow Leopard and Windows Vista. But in boths Systems i cannot choose the MIDI 1 Port in the Firmware Updater Program and so the Update itselfs failed each time with the Message "Timeout Error".

Wich System do you have, how you managed this Problem exactly?

Please tell me step by step!

Finally it works!

Like i said, the firmware-update failed on my MacBook (Snow Leopard) and the Windows Vista based Acer laptop of a friend of mine. So we tried to handle it with his oldschool no name tower pc with Windows XP on it and guess what? It worked.

I really don't know but i think maybe it's depending on the soundcard you've got in your computer. On Windows XP i finally could change the settings in the terratec's firmware updater to "MIDI channel 1".

I'm so happy now.

Hi. Auch ich habe wie mein Vorredner das Problem, dass mein Area 61 irgendwie im "Test Mode" verharrt.

Ca. drei Sekunden nach dem letzen Anschlag leuchten wieder ALLE LEDs an den Kränzen konstant auf und im Display steht "Area61 Test Mode ##Area61##VS1.10". Was habe ich falsch gemacht?

(Den Treiber für OSX habe ich auf meinem Rechner installiert, und auch Ableton Live reagiert auf Tastenanschläge).

Ich hoffe Ihr könnt mir weiterhelfen.

sorry, leider nein, da wir hier selbst das Gerät nicht haben. Das sieht eher nach einem Fall für den Hersteller-Support aus, wenn nicht gar ein Garantiefall.

@leu3000 Drück ein paar Sekunden auf den Knopf "Menü" und wechsel dann mit den Pfeiltasten durchs Menü. Irgendwo müsste "Test Mode on" stehen. Da kannst du ihn dann ausschalten ;)

@leu3000 Das Problem ist falls noch vorhanden, das die Firmware die auf der CD die mitgeliefert wird mit dem Firmwareupdater der auf der CD auch mit geliefert wird eingespielt werden muss. Habe das Gerät gebraucht erstanden , da war das selbe "Probleme" noch vorhanden. Ich denke der Vorbesitzer hat es einfach nicht gecheckt. Aber nach dem Update ist alles i.O. Ich finde das Keyboard richtig geil. Und den Softsynth ist meiner Meinung nach der geilste den ich bisher gehabt habe. Sogar besser alsNI

@NMGN0403 Push a few seconds on "Menü" and change throw it. Somewhere is written "Test Mode". There you can switch it off ;)

Weiß jemand, ob das Teil wirklich nur per Computer programmierbar ist ? kann man die Controllerbelegung nicht am Gerät durchführen ?

Und sind die decoder schön fest ?

Wer sich für das Gerät interessiert sollte mal bei ebay nachsehen...dort geht das Teil bei einem Anbieter momentan regelmäßig(!) als Auktion (Startpreis 1,00 Euro) für um die 100,00 (einhundert) Euro weg (Cubase LE ist nicht dabei)...ich habe für meins nur 102,00 Euro bezahlt...dafür gibt es eine Super verarbeitete Tastatur, einen interessanten VST-Synth sowie eine Soundkarte mit integriertem Midi-Interface... ein echtes Schnäppchen!

Super Video; ich hab nicht übermäßig viel Ahnung von Synths, find das hier aber sehr aufschlussreich...

Mal ne Frage: Hab ich das richtig verstanden? Das Gerät ist ein reines Controller-Keyboard und hat keinerlei integrierte Sounds? Zusammenschluss mit PC oder extra gekauftem Modul also zwingend notwendig?
