Well once you have learned how to solve it, the only thing left to do is to try to do it faster. I started cubing at the start of the craze in 1981-1982(10th grade). I had a friend who cubed also, and we competed with each other(we didnt know of anyone else in school that could solve). It was SO fun because it totally blew people's minds to see it solved. Although my times are WAY too high to win a contest. My average was like 45s-90s. My best ever was 24s, but that was just luck.
