Yea I jumped a bit, went straight to grade 5 then jumped to Grade 7,I found the jump was huge and this piece in particular the most challenging.I meant to ask, what do you intend to do musically in the future...teaching maybe?
I don't really have any plans for the future musically. I'd like to take my playing all the way through to Diploma standard. I have a number of pieces in mind that I'd like to play - lots of Chopin and Beethoven. How about you?
I plan on finishing grade 8 ABRSM(next year),then move onto the Jazz syllabus from grade1. The after 5-6 years of that become a professional Jazz piano player and entertain LIVE.I'm a big Bruce Hornsby fan. I will admit I like your technique, and you could do well musically.Good Luck.
Yea I jumped a bit, went straight to grade 5 then jumped to Grade 7,I found the jump was huge and this piece in particular the most challenging.Did you also find this piece tough?
I have done all the grades from 1 through to 7 with a big gap between leaving school in 1982 at Grade 6 and then doing my grade 5 and 6 again over the last couple of years.
Actually I did grade 7, 1 week ago,Traumerei,Allegretto and Time Remembered. This pieces where all difficult to master.Especially Allegretto(this one),did you find it the same for you?
thats a lag ihnj the vid...it happens sometimes when v upload vid on youtube of high quality...when converting...it creates a lag...which is sometimes really pissing off...but this vid he is playin it....and hes playin it well....
its like this,im taking this song for my ABRSM piano exam as well, is pedal allowed from bar 65 until bar 79 in the piece? i cant handle in this part. Thanks for the help. Pls reply me soon.
Me examiner got pissed because it was too loud in the little room T_T I'm used to playing it on a grand at my piano teacher's house. But I love it. it suits my personality. LOL

I am Currently Learning This piece for my grade 7, you play the piece beacutifully however, you speed up through the piece - just a thought to improve preformance!
A nice performance, however one has to be more wary of the "subito piano" that is supposed to be heard at 00:57, 01:03-04, and 01:23-24, but on the overall dynamics are fine. I feel that you are a very characteristic performer. Keep up the good work!
Hi, currently learning this piece. Loving the phrasing on the ocatave jumps from bar 32ish and also how your sections just fit nicely together flowing well.
please ask some teacher to help you understand this piece of music.

Well done genius...
there's a delay between the sound and the movement it's teh camera, not the player.
That sounded really good well done XD

Minimal dynamics...not so keen on that...and I'd say a little too much pedal...

Hi gbhedges
The fingering on bars 30 to 32 still have me slightly baffled, what fingering did you use?I was using the thumb on the A flat ;)
coderedex 3 years ago
I can't lay my hands on the music at the moment. If I find it I'll let you know.
gbhedges 3 years ago
The fingering is in the piece but it's not complete,a bit vague for me.But if you know of a good fingering formula,I would be pleased to know.Thanks.
