Sure we need south american coaches in the region - These old style european coaches aren't doing nothing for the advancement of caribbean soccer. Until we are competing toe to toe with the likes of Mexico and actually beating them, we are will be still be in this sorry position in 10 years from now. Its fairly obvious to me that we have some really good players in the region but what we are crying out for is better coaches who are not just here for the beer.

Funny you mentioned Kenwyne Jones- Not one of my favourite players -he has hardly set the premiership alight.

He will score a goal once in a while for StokeCity but a fella of his height and ability should be scoring more goals or showing more hunger in front of goal.

@marleyite And of course that's my point about our players being lazy. No matter which coach we have we always play the same way which is very slow and with out any hustle. We need to up the tempo and out work these teams. If we do that we can make it to every world cup. The only good team in concacaf is mexico. USA have money to coach players from when them young. Costa rica and them other teams have the same talent as we. Them does just try harder than we.

You made some good points there - seems kinda crazy that TNT was competing in the World cup finals in 2006, Germany, competing against teams like England, Sweden and Paraguay...fast forward 5 years and they are struggling to beat Bermuda, Barbados and Guyana and out of the reckoning for Brazil 2014.

I think them fella's taking a leaf out of our once proud cricketing dynasty.

@TriniCassanovaStar We had Maturana and Rene Simoes both from south america. It's not the coaches it's the players. We are lazy and we don't run or hustle in the games. Our defenders are always "ball watching" and not paying attention to the attackers around them. In other words, "WE SUCK!!!" I hate to say it but it's true. I live in america and I destroy people when I play football. I was no type of footballer when I was in TnT. We have the talent but I don't know what going on with TnT.
