I think you're pretty much spot on. You aren't hearing Republicans talk about all the mess ups that Palin has, they're entirely focused on tearing Obama down. And while we all heard how America wanted a different style of political practice (as in no attacks), the reality is that they respond much more to those attacks than to simple policy issues. The idea that his POW experience is more important than his ridiculously belligerant policies and shitty pick for vp is an argument for idiots. McCain's exactly the wrong guy for the job in the 21st century, because he's living in a past where the US is the clear, unequivocal leader in all things.
The US military is #1 obviously, but economically we are in a shambles. Also, fucking with Russia is a lose-lose game, what's the point of that?

Obama is the same, look up the oxford definition of terrorist you'll find Israel and both major parties fit the bill pretty well. Governments don't represent us, the parties change but the government stays the same.
