I agree with you. Talented filipino songwriters are hard to find these days because the listening public; which is the majority, prefers the less than mediocre, no- quality- new kind of genre in the Philippines. And that is translation of hit songs of foreign singers by filipino artists and was interpreted in a way that make the songs utterly difficult and annoying to listen to. Tricycle and jeepney drivers, and the like are what these crappy renditions represent.
