I'd be insane to bring a child into the world now. I'd end up killing some asshole cop or teacher for some massive overreaction to my child just being a happy, innocent kid.

I went to a therapeutic day school were teachers and staff are trained to physically restrain children as young as seven because when they become upset a lot of them become violent to themselves or others, at schools where staff aren't trained for or used to situations like this they have to react in the ways they deem necessary. Yeah it's pretty harsh the kid got tazed, but at 11 this girl is as tall as I am and has twenty pounds on me and I'm 22, she was a risk to others safety.

In the US we have loads of different types of police. State police, town police, township police, county sheriff, and constables. I probably missed some. Then there are all of the federal agencies (DEA, FBI, etc.). When I saw German Polizei with an uzi, I knew they weren't going to use them on me. Cops with tasers...

I went to a therapeutic day school were teachers and staff are trained to physically restrain children as young as seven because when they become upset a lot of them become violent to themselves or others, at schools where staff aren't trained for or used to situations like this they have to react in the ways they deem necessary. Yeah it's pretty harsh the kid got tazed, but at 11 this girl is as tall as I am and has twenty pounds on me and I'm 22, she was a risk to others safety.

If a cop, male or female, cannot handle an 11-year-old, time to find a new line of work. Makes no difference if she was 170lb, it's not muscle and she's probably slow. Call for assistance, put her on the ground or against the wall. Cops have become so quick to tase in this country that they might as well be issued cattle prods. @TommyG360 And rightly so. I lived in Europe for a number of years and one thing I remember about is that you didn't have to worry about different responses from different police. In the US we have loads of different types of police. State police, town police, township police, county sheriff, and constables. I probably missed some. Then there are all of the federal agencies (DEA, FBI, etc.). When I saw German Polizei with an uzi, I knew they weren't going to use them on me. Cops with tasers...

I was the fatest girl in school when I was 11. i was 5'4 and 145lbs. I really felt like I was a fat girl because I was bigger than all my friends. Looking back I just had the figure of a grown woman. I wish I could weigh that much again.

@Everclearish if parents and teachers were still allowed to administer corporate punishment, it wouldn't be called for at all. that child being that outta control, you gotta look at what's going on in the home. I know a nine year old kid, who gets this irate. The teachers wanted to meet with the mom. To get outta the meeting the mom had the kid admitted to the psych ward. ONE week later, the kid was at home, drug dealers kicked in the woman's door and shot up the house. KIDS DISPLACE ANXIETY

Look.. this kid is 11 years old. she is definately old enough to know right from wrong. She threatened another students life, assaulted an officer,thre shit around the class. This kid was out of control and deserved what she got. That kid has never been put in her place and she got it here. @azworx That 11 year old weighs more than many adult women. And she was punching the cop. Physically apprehending her may be kind of difficult. And besides. if she did, then parent would be crying because a cop used force on an 11 year old girl. This kid being tazed may be the best thing that has happened to her. Maybe she'll think twice about commiting another crime. Maybe she won't grow up to be a shithead and spend the rest of her life in and out of jail.

@dustinwyatt17 Physical apprehension shouldn't be that difficult. Forcing her arms behind her hand isn't all too big of a challenging. She needs to be placed in a juvenile detention center and given counseling. Tasers really shouldn't be used on children. Punching a cop is inexcusable, but really a taser shouldn't have been used. What would a cop do if this happened before the invention of tasers?

If anything, they really let her off too easy. But, the cop shouldn't have deployed the taser and needs to be retrained.

@azworx Well none the less.. Justice is served. Maybe she was treated rather harshly. Possibly to a higher extent than needed. But one thing is certain. She won't punch a cop in the face again. She learned her lesson the hard way :)

She's only 11 yrs old. There's some turmoil in her life and she's acting it out in school. NOTICE NO PARENT WAS AVAILABLE for comment. The parents of children like her, ALWAYS have somethin to hide.
