It renews my faith in humanity that an intelligent man like this can ascend to the Presidency of the US, but it is chilling to see all the insane attacks on him by religious fanatics on You Tube and elsewhere.

survival and co-operation,
which is precisely what these "laws" do.
Such sensitivities in no way support any particular god.
In fact, as Christians believe that their most heinous acts
will be magically vanished and forgotten via human sacrifice,
they actually have very little incentive to act in a moral manner.

Not everyone is a Christain! Obama is making a point here. Americans can believe whatever they want to believe in. Just because someone is not a follower of a certain religion does not make them a bad person.

You are correct. Obama also demonstrates in this video that he understands the the First Amendment and the Founders' intentions for a seperation of church and state.
