  • That's the first I've ever heard of the horn on the signal.

  • Huh? I certainly hope this isn't the Jeff Wimberly I know.

  • Soory joe. I put it in the wrong video. disregard.

  • nice vid, 5 stars

  • That had to be fun listening to those stupid wayside horns going off over and over again, I would get the heck out as well! Great video!

  • Wow! That was one rare lash up on that BNSF train! Not a BNSF painted unit in sight!

  • i like the train with 8 locos.nice.

  • great video.

  • Actually, what the heck were those horns?

  • They are what are called "Wayside" horns. Electronic recordings of what is supposed to sound like an airhorn, played on a speaker during the time the crossing activates to the time the train enters the crossing. They don't sound like airhorns at all. More like severe weather advisories that come up on the bottom of your TV screen.

  • Heh yeah they do!

Why don't they just use the normal locomotive horns?

  • They say that the locomotive horns are louder. True - but locomotive horns are safer and more efficient. According to bystanders that Revelation Video interviewed, these Wayside horns get stuck alot - as seen in this video.

  • Great videos! Interesting horns in the beginning!

And nice lightning at the end!

    5*!

  • Great Video
