  • 'For an American to live without a gun would be like, you guys living without tea.'

    HAHAHAHAHAHHAAH

  • I actually feel the same way, NWO is out there and out there to get us, and we need to be prepared.

  • "Peace and love....and no showers."

  • Why an American feels safe holding an instrument of death, (guns), is beyond me. The more people with a gun in their possession advocates and promotes violence itself. They feel that because of a rule, (written 220 years ago when the world was a much more uncivilized place), they are entitled to point and shoot anyone who they feel is a threat to them. Like it or not, the 2nd Amendment needs to be eliminated. America has gun violence that rivals places like Somalia. Think about that.

  • "Americans living without a gun, is like you living without tea." - Brilliant.

  • "I needed no further encouragement" fkn lol

  • and no showers!

  • Some of you commenting seem to dislike these survivalist people?

Why? They simply want to be left alone. It is not like they are groping toddlers and old people at airports while letting Abdulah Akbar in robes and a turban get on without any problem.

  • @ThoughtTraveler They basically promote the culture of fear, which is what they say the New World Order supposedly wants. Personally, that is my problem with it.

  • does TSA count?

  • ''This is worse then waco'' lol HAHAHA i love him.

  • I'm as pinko liberal as they come, but I can't help that the interviewer is being obnoxious. "You get the gun" "Like waco" ...

  • "Its better when you bullets in the gun".......awesome!

  • "I needed no further encouragement" Awesome!

  • Ignoring the whole armageddon guff underlying their ethos, I do rather like the idea of a self-sufficient community like this. I really don't these folk are mad at all, it's quite a romantic image.

  • Looks like the last group of people are just cultivating good habits by having a neighbourhood watch, because once you need it, it is too late.

  • Maybe I'm weird but I kinda like the idea of a chip in me that can track where I am in the world.

  • Maybe, I'm weird but I kinda like the idea of a chip in me that can tell anyone where I am in the world.

  • I think these guys are brilliant and they are not harming anyone by choosing to live as they do. They have the same right to defend their way of life as anyone else does.

  • @Hugman77: Those survivalists might be paranoid, but at least every man interviewed on this documentary so far is actually a MAN. The interviewer is an ineffectual pussy. He should show some respect. In some places he'd get his ass kicked for acting that snobby.

  • I cant believe they were so nice to him even after he was cocky and rude.

  • I agree! Why the hell give this mini doc. such a silly air about it . Using this belittling asshole of a brit and the down right silly music and his stupid fucking questions. I would punch him in the mouth for mockery. Hats off to the interviewees for putting up with his dumb ass!

  • I don't think he's cocky or rude, his politeness and affablity is why they open up to him. The humour he injects is gentle and affectionate, it's the viewer's choice to laugh at these people.

  • He looks down on them like he is so much better and so much smarter.

I guess in the UK they are just a bunch of snobs.

  • I'm sure most people in mainstream American society would probably find these people about as odd as we do, it's just it's probably easier for us to laugh because it's another country to us and there's more of a cultural difference.

  • nice music - esquivel!

  • There has indeed been a benevolent dictator. His name was Marcus Aurelius. He proved that even a total dictator can be empathetic and just. He was a rare but very real philosopher king.

  • this guy sounds like he's predicting alot of things, this was 1997 right? and he's mentioning the RFID chip which is beginning.

  • @ApocalypticRedIX

RFID would be great! i could duplicate someone's with microcontroller based device in my pocket and spoof anyone elses rfid. i could be anyone i want!

  • holy lol, start at 8:22

  • Ahhh the mountains...

  • the host comes off like a complete douchebag

  • i think thats his whole act. he makes himself appear dorky and vulnerable so people feel more comfortable opening up to him

  • idk maybe. he does an amazing job of it then

  • That's basically it, but the mild-mannered nerdiness is still part of his real personality, it's not like it's a completely made up persona.

  • You're face does too.

  • He makes these "dangeours people" out to look like terrorist but they Are just storing amo just in case senario. WHichi is getting highly likely considering the way things are going. They arent planning to drive to the white house(get real) its called a last stand senario.

  • really? i think he is doing a service the people he is interviewing in that he is showing that they are pretty normal and sane people. i know that sounds insulting, but to people who don't share the beliefs and only here the stereotype of people who live like this, that is the image: a crazy psycho terrorist. no matter how "fruity" or "unprepared for combat" the host is, i think he is helping their image and doing a good service to both them and people who don't understand them.

  • @adamrosio08 In 1997 when this was filmed they would have been labelled that because of Christopher McVeigh and the WTO bombing. Hence in media Extremist Right Wing Survivalists=Terrorists back in the 90s as Extremist Muslims=Terrorists now. Them out in the woods talking about Armageddon and the other group out in some caves talking about Jihad. It's only been just over 10 years but people forgot the 90s already. It's a recasting job of the Boogeyman. Not my opinion.Media is just lazy like that

  • *Timothy McVeigh rather..

  • That journalist seems like a queemish fruitcake, I hope he isnt thrown into battle, his name will become friendly fire.

  • Don't worry he won't be. Unless you Yanks start World War 3.

  • @graemeoliver84 "you Yanks" would start World War III? Fuck you.

Because the UK has always been so well behaved all over the world right?

  • @AptivaXL It was just a little joke. Yes, Britain hasn't been innocent in the past but then neither have most powerful nations, it's probably just human nature.

  • @AptivaXL Also a program like this can give off a certain impression about Americans, you know, the guns and all that (Yes, I know these people are a tiny minority)

  • @graemeoliver84 And Britain couldn't really start WWIII now, not on it's own, whereas American is a superpower.

  • Go Bo!

  • I love this. A place where The United States Constitution is set as the number one priority, what a great concept.

  • It's so weird how the guy is like, he'll probably shoot you, and all the guy does is have him stay over and treat him like an old friend.

  • 2:57 Well, I ain't that cynical. :P

  • Americans without guns is WORSE than brits without tea!

    google FREE MORGIE

    thanks

  • zombie precaution much?

  • I would love to join your community, how can I find out more? I do believe and feel certain that all americans are under threat of our government and am willing to take up my arms to defend against our wicked government at any costs. You all have it right, right down to the T!!!

  • I cant wait till I can get totaly self sufficient like these guys but I wonder if there racist?

  • Why would they go to all the trouble of doing a documentary on survivalists in Northern Idaho, just to do it so tongue-n-cheek (assholey)?

  • I like this little series. It doesn't seem very condescending.
