  • this movie is well special i wuldent have liked it if not for christiopher lee. he is so awesome

  • Wow. Dracula can sing.

  • 4:05 Christopher Lee commands my SOUL. 0.0

srlsy I freaking love this song

  • i always like to sing this along :)

reason 1: it's an amazing, cool and nice song. =D

resaon 2: it is sung by sir christopher lee. =D

reason 3: my voice is as low-pitched as the voice of sir christopher lee =D

  • Christopher Lee is the best bartender in history. And that's saying some.

  • Christopher Lee doesn't do bar-tending, but if he did, he would be the best in the world! The Return of Captain Invincible should have a bigger cult status.

  • Does anyone else have a sudden urge to have a drink?

  • I love the fact that this has no dislikes lol.

  • The anthem of happy hours everywhere!

  • I just learned of this watching a streaming video of the many faces of Christopher Lee. Just wow.

  • I like to listen to this while drinking :)

  • Cristopher Lee is imortally divine.

  • Does anyone know the name of the actress who played the thin short-haired brunette, in the backup singers? Just curious.

  • I'm gonna have that song stuck in my head as I drink! XD

  • The even funnier thing is that the only reason Lee took this role was because he wanted a chance to show off his singing. I'd say that's why he looks like he's having so much fun in this scene. :D

  • @zoushaomenohu

So I'm not the only one who's convinced he looks like he's having an absolute blast filming this scene? Good to know.

  • WTF... Hold the hick did i miss this.

  • christopher lee is the goddamn coolest actor in the whole world

  • Is there anything he can't do?

  • DOUKUUU, NOOOOOOOO!!!

  • I swear if someone told me this guy's life story I'd swear they were trying to pitch me a film plot, it just doens't seem possible that one person can do so much.

  • This is a great movie. I found it at Virgin Megastore a few years back and was pleasantly surprised. Alan Arkin is always excellent.

  • About the 100th time i've watched this haha.

Just wtf :P Christopher Lee has done everything

  • Yeah, and now he's going to release a heavy metal album :D

  • @cofpaddy I know this was posted a long time ago, but he totally has. He's the inspiration for James Bond y'know :P

  • Can anyone elaborate on why he all of a sudden becomes a woman?

  • we cant. its never addressed, or mentioned again, in the actual film.

  • I think it's just a hallucination brought on by the strong desire for booze that Mr. Midnight is rekindling through song.

Remember also that during one shot, while this is happenning, we see him on the floor as he once was at the beginning of the fil: in dishevlled clothing, bristled chin, and a little drunk.

  • this is true, at the very least a really good theory. i just chock it up to poor filmmaking, or at least poor planning.

  • It's just a typical old-fashioned good-time cheap joke of having Lee's voice over a woman's singing, I think you're thinking too much :)

  • It's to illustrate the Captain being seduced by drink, no more complicated than that.

  • It's a hallucination induced by The Captain being tempted by booze, as he is a recovering alcoholic.

I'm pretty sure that's the female lead in the film, actress Kate Fitzpatrick portraying Patty Patria, The Captain's love interest in the film.

  • Haven't you had that happen to you, a night on the piss?

  • this film is the 2nd in a series, the woman is one of the major factors that drove Cpt Invencible to drinking. she apperars as a halocination to temp him back in to the bottle.

  • @majorgeneralguy what was the first one called? i'd like to see it, but i can't find reference to it anywhere.

  • What a voice!

  • Christopher Lee can sure sing. And Richard O Brien can show each of us that music & theatre can be fun

  • Such a brilliant song. God I love Richard O'Brien.

  • DrCForbin, you've made a video that puts Christopher Lee's voice out there once again! I, Landon Forbes, love him and I hope to meet him one day, but you did very well putting this video together! I'll ad it to my favorites and give it an eight out of ten! If only this movie was a hit, but it doesn't matter! Mister Lee is the very beacon new actors should look up to!

  • This film isn't all that rare any more...you can get it on netflix.

  • This is awesome! Also, eck out 0:33/34-It looks like Lee both invokes rock AND clicks his fingers at the same time!

  • Between the sheets is lovely with a dizzy blonde and a bottle of bubbly... I think the words are on IMDB, I looked it up once.

  • i want to know the lyric

  • Here you go: Mai Tai say that I'm Old Fashioned, Tres Vin Ordinaire That I want a fresh Manhattan With white anglo-saxons everywhere? A Black Russian's no Pink Lady Give her a Singapore Sling. And Moscow Mule is not your baby So Highball the Vodka, and name your sting Be a big shot, with a Bullshot Be a schwein mit der Wein Have a short, or a port, or a snort, of any sort. Asti Spumante . Uno Chianti. Are divine!
  • I got some economic Hocks, A Gin and Tonic on the rocks. Where Angels fear to tread, I say- Choose your booze! Let's hit the red-eye! Think of young Deanna Durbin, And how she sung on Rum and Bourbon. Or enhance your luncheon hour With a Planter's Punch, And a Whiskey Sour If you feel like a wreck, Try a Horse's Neck Or a Sherry with a cherry in the new fun size-
  • If you don't name your poison

I'll have to get the boys in

The spirit of adventure opens ones eyes

If you don't name your poison

I'll have to get the boys in

And you'll never see another Tequila Sunrise

    Live happily ever after

With a Chablis and some laughter.

    Between the Sheets is lovely

With a dizzy blonde and a bottle of bubbly

  • There's nothing sicker in society

Than a lack of liquor and sobriety

So! Down the hatch. Here's mud in your eye!

Take a bracer with a chaser, wash it down with rye!

    Bottoms up, stirrup cup!

It'll put you in the pink.

And all you have to do is

    Drink, Drink, etc.

  • "Name Your Poison" is another masterpiece written by the musical team that created "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and "Shock Treatment!" That might be why the barmaids look so "familiar."

  • Christopher Lee. He's like a god. He can do no wrong.

  • That is the best compliment I've ever read about Christopher Lee! Thank you! It's so hard to find someone who loves him as much as I do! You have the support of me, Landon Forbes!

  • He's incredible! Every word I've used to describe him seems like a huge understatement. I think he might be the most interesting person in the world. I'd love to follow him around for a day, I'm convinced he'd make even the most mundane events extraordinary and dramatic.

  • lee is the man and you all know it.

  • INDEED.

  • oh great zeus.

    i must own this movie.

    I MUST OWN IT NOW.

    WHAT IS IT'S NAME!?!?!

  • The Return of Captain Invincible

  • please tell me its on DVD...

  • yes..it's hard to find tho ...

  • I'd bet money it's hard to find because of "political correctness",I'd be delighted to be proved wrong though

I've never seen this film, nor do I recall it ever been shown on the TV over here

That's strange to me,because Gran brought me up on Mr Lee and Mr Cushing :-)

  • It is still available via Amazon. It's not political correctness..it's the fact it wasn't a popular film at the time.

The best thing about DVD's is that it's letting films that didn't do well on first release make a comeback

  • Cool,thanks for the info :-)

  • Actually, it's easier to find than you think. I ordered it from Barnes & Noble for $12.95 and it took them two weeks to receive it in one of their local stores and I live in Southern New Jersey!

  • @DrCForbin I ordered the dvd 3 monthes ago on amazon, and I still don't have it. I'm pissed off about that to say the least.

  • @VoiceoftheEmpire

If you're still looking for it, I found it on scrapetorrent. You got to have a torrent client like utorrent, though.

  • If there's anybody more awesome in the history of the human race than Christopher Lee, I'd like to know who it is.

  • Christopher Lee is the best. I'm so glad I have met him.

  • From all I've heard, he's among the most courteous stars you'll meet...a lesson that many, many celebs could learn. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting the man himself.

  • Father Jack would love this song, especially 4:00 onwards hahaha:-D

Nothing beats a bit of Chrisopher Lee singing, not even Captain Invincible!

  • There's over 30 references to different kinds of Alcholic beverage in this song (I lost count afterthat!)

  • The Four greatest voices of cinema:

    Christopher Lee

    Vincent Price

    Jack Palance

    Orson Welles

  • I share my birthday with him and Vincent Price, something I've always been proud of. I do love this song for some reason.

  • This video looks a whole lot better now that it's almost in the correct aspect ratio. Still, I wish I could admire Mr. Lee's singing as much as I admire his acting and speaking voice.

  • Christopher Lee is really awesome and lovely man!
