lol when i was first time fighting with Prometheus i was shocked with number of his weapons... how many weapons has he? :D. it was lookin like 8 weapons in one mech... i think Basilisk is better than Gorgon btw because its faster...
@nimor1300 He has 6 guns, and they can be BIG guns. There are 6 different configurations that he uses. Each time you face him, one of the configurations is chosen at random. Basilisk is good, but the Gorgon matches up to my playing style better :)

I blew off Prometheus's weapons. He had the Quantum gun configuration. It was easy especially when he turned and exposed his weapons. I pretty much redlined him guns blazin'.
Knight's Apoc with two autocannons, two sparrow pack-6 missiles, a blaster and Heavy blaster.
The one time I beat Prometheus Caanon and the rest actually came and helped. I've never figured out why they did, but it was pretty cool to see them all running down the ridge line weapons blasting.
Yeah that is pretty cool :) They do that if one of the Cybrids manages to run past them down the crater to shoot you in the back. First they chase the Cybrid down the crater and kill it, then they help with Prometheus.

At 2:34-2:35 the right leg is clearly gone. This kills a HERC in Starsiege. At 2:36 in the COM window you can see Icehawk saying "Cardinal Three? It's clear up here... you did it..." If you have difficulty try adding &fmt=18 to the end of the browser URL to see the high quality version.
I wish the game was as active as it use to be. Btw, I used the names: Cyborg, Obsidian, and Snuffles for most of the 7 to 8 years I played before I finally just quit. Now I have a new computer so I don't even have SS anymore, I still have the CDs but don't plan on reinstalling it.
Yeah, when Vivendi decided to kill the last master server, activity dropped alot. :( We have player-run master servers now, but the numbers haven't been the same. We still have many nights with eight or nine ppl on at once though.

Again, if he starts hitting you even one bit, you'll shields will start requiring more energy to recharge, and before you know it, you have no more power.
did u play online? i was =EtG= Subzero. i used to have a hack where i could clone myself in my own server as many times as i wanted lol. but then i lost the game :(

Hi. It was just a normal Apoc with an orange camo skin. I can't get the internal SS recording to work reliably so I just recorded it "live" with XVidCap (this was all done in Linux, including playing Starsiege).
The recording and replay function only work with version 1.000R, i.e. unpatched. And replays only work if they were recorded IN v1.000R. If you patch to v1.004R, your recordings won't work. Nor will your recordings made in v1.004R work if you uninstall, reinstall and try to play them in v1.000R.
Prometheus was hard, but the real challenge was Harabec's pred, damn that thing was good...

I would recommend a different weapon set.
A Gorgon with 2 ELF Whips and 2 SWARM missle packs works wonders. I can go toe to toe with him and not use not even half my missles.
You only need close range guns.
Rape his shields with Elfs, then fire off all your SWARMS.
Scaps and Smods are pretty much mandatory...
But gj on camping him out lol
