I've been giving this some thought on my FWD Buick Regal as a conversion. There could be many problems with an after market conversion that isn't certified to legally and safely run on the road. The car currently has an independent suspension and I thought a RWD axle from a Cadillac might be used or an AWD axle from similar.
The cars under carriage still has a hump/void in the center to mount an electric motor. It would be an interesting project....on another similar car like a Century.
