Roger's overhead is weak compared to Becker's, Sampras, Cash, or Rafter. I think he purposely doesn't kill the ball. He always puts a little slice too for some odd reason.
@dura1mater your right, he purposefully doesnt kill the ball because he doesnt need to. an overhead, if hit cleanly and placed well is nearly impossible to return, so why try and kill it when a slower more controlled shot is just as effective? as for the slice, spin of any kind gives control, and underspin or topspin is tough to do on an overhead, which is why sidespin is the usual spin for overheads.
Even in a situation you don't usually find yourself in, the footwork was still amazing! It sort of looked like he was serving from the service line xD. That's how beautiful his footwork is lol.
