  • Animals...Eat 'Em

    /watch?v=8lRcDJnbrVw

  • Don't buy meat from mass farms... Hunt for it... 1. The meat is of better quality. 2. The animal lived a great, happy, natural life. 3. Cut down on over-populated animal groups that are becoming dangerous to themselves. And 4. A good hunter kills his prey immediately, painlessly, and humanely.

  • i dont eat commercial farmed meat myself from sick animals, no steaks, burgers with toxic non-organic salat to.

I eat Biodynamic meat and organic vegetables & organic fruits, raw biodymaic unprocces milk.

I eat addict to nature as possbile, as the nature cyclus refer to before all the commerfical proccesed food that came on the dinner table after the 1920´s.

  • Plants get feating nutrion from the microorganism there are meat-predators in our soil. So may be interesting for most vegetarians to know that plants is meat eaters aswell. I can refer to look just 1 out of hundres videos i have studyed about the subject.

Searh: Paul Chek speaking live Price-Pottenger Foundation PART 8

Plz look whole video, and you may get another oppinon on vegetarian diet !

  • Vegetarian diet will not work for people with gens there refer to live in cold-climatics like Greenland. There fat and protein sources most come from healthy Animals, else there organs in there body will not work probaly, they are low-carbohydrate eaters. There is essential fat-acids that body use direct as if it was a cabohydrate, direct energy.

Plants eat the nutrion in the soil, the nutrion in the soil comes from billions of"all/meat-eaters species" there poo/give nutrition to the plant.

  • That means more meat for us. After all humans are made to eat meat and plants.

  • I would be a vegetarian, but the food has already been killed, so if we don't eat it...it's like they died in vain, you know?

  • @MsSeverusSnapexoxo Yeah but look at it this way.

They kill something. You eat that dead thing. So they have to make more. So if you don't eat it, they don't kill them. I.e. the demand goes down.

  • no, youre supporting the industry as a whole by eating it. think, if ever vegetarian in the world turned omnivourous again, the meat factories would need to kill more, right?

  • anyone who did this is a fucking pussy...eating meat is as natural as drinking water. hey vegetarian faggot if you hate animals dying and your so against it, file your canines off then this shit will make sense, until you do that your an omnivore...not a fucking thing you can do about that ......btw heres an honest question, why are all vegetarians so fucking hard to look at? like that lack of natural protein just makes them look like shit.....

  • Whoa! How wrong can you be? Vegetarian women boast within their ranks the hottest women on the planet! I've dated a lot of both. Dude, I'm tellin ya, vegetarian ladies have better bodies. You know, the kind that look better in the nude than they do dressed? Over fifty percent of Americans are at least a little overweight. Fat folks are good people, but why settle for someone who's not as attractive when vegetarians are more thoughtful, more concerned about other living things.... and sexier?

  • burn in hell, you dumb fuck blind piece of shit

  • Love you Ben!

  • lmao? since when do i torture my cows? fuckers ruin the world i hope you all die. more meat for us i guess =]

  • I didn't know about Vegetarian Week, thanks for the heads up. I started with "meatless Mondays" and want to add another day of the week, as the one day was pretty cool to see what my family and I could come up with to replace meat. Thanks for the video and sharing!

  • You're awesome, i'm subscribing!

  • good vid, i specialy like part about polypeptides

  • yep

  • dude, eat meat, because i guarantee you if you were face to face with a hungry lion or another meat eater, that animal would eat you

  • that's not the point. the point is that we don't just kill and eat them but thrill them from day one of their life. pigs for example get their balls cut of, ears cut off, tail cut off as babies, without any anesthesia. Given how much they are related to us (we can even use their organs), you can image how much that hurts. Then you're left to slowly die in a shelter for the rest of your life. I don't think a lion would do that.

  • ok you've convinced me, every time i eat bacon, ill say a prayer for the pigs balls, and yes a hungry lion would definately eat you

  • Its good to know humans evolved to eat both plants and meat. If you dont like to see or hear the animals, dont look and dont listen.

    Your arguement is invalid.

  • huh?

  • Americans consume as many chickens in one day in the year 2005 as they did in one year in 1930.

  • My dad i s a vegetarian, and i cannot think of anything i would like to do less than be a vegetarian. it is so boring i would like to poo on all vegetables.

  • I ate a pork chop today and a chicken dinner on Sunday... I didn't even realise it was Vegetarian Day :P

  • *week

    fail.

  • I think the vegetarian movement would go over much better if they talked of reduction from a health point of view. In a society where consumption, consumerism, and indulgence is aspired to, working an angle of give yourself health: Reduce your meat intake"

Im vegetarian about 95% of the year.

I made a conscious effort to reduce in an attempt to stop eating meat completely I just love a good rare roast beef too much to let go.

  • good idea... vegetarianism does have many health benefits.

  • we dont eat meat because we dont neeeed to. there is nooo need to end an animals life just because we waaant to eat burgers..steaks.. there are so many other options for us. sure, we are at the top of the food chain, but that doesnt make it right to control all other species beneath us, how selfish, they are here just like we are, not for eating, for living.

  • Also it would be better for world food levels in general (see food chains/pyramids of biomass and the loss that happens along the chains...) if we were all vegetarian. But i do realise there are points against being vegetarian tho prob.

  • There's no need for that. As long as we don't have the stupid mass production and eat meat a couple of times a month it's all good. It's the terrible quality, tratment of animals and the resulting health problems that bother me. Plus we're running out of fish big time.

  • I watched the entire thing of that Earthlings movie because of you.

I wanna say, thank you for this information, but I feel kinda bad.

I knew that animals were being killed off for food, but I never imagined that some animals were being treated like objects.

  • PROFESSOR SNAPE!!!!!!! OH MY GOD IT'S YOU!! I THOUGHT I'D NEVER FIND YOU!! LMAO!! Ah, that's good shit dude!

  • I'm sure that all the creatures of the forest are huddled together in a wooded glen somewhere watching your videos with great ANTICIPATION! Waiting for the day when they will have rights equal to those of humans... Or maybe they're just licking they're privates and shitting everywhere... NAH!!

  • no, they don't have youtube as far as I'm aware, but if they knew we weren't eating them, I'm sure they'd be grateful. They already have rights, idiot. We're all animals, just because we have computers and speak in a language doesn't mean we're any more important, anyone who believe so thinks way to highly of themselves.

  • vegetarians eat eggs?

and we eat everything besides meat on easter and thanksgiving.

  • YUMMMM STEAKS AND EGGS AND CHICKENS AND TURKEY, so what do vegetarians eat on thanksgiving and easter?

  • we eat whatever the hell we want. just like meat-eaters. Easter = chocolate eggs. yummmm. isn't that what everyone eats? vegetarians eat eggs, what are you, mentally retarded?

  • Actually, a lot of vegetarians do not eat eggs. Just because you have the ability to do something does not mean you should. I don't want to offend you, or start a youtube commenting arguement, but I do not understand why you are so against vegetarianism. If only people like you channeled their aggression into protesting against gay marriage.

  • what the-

why did you post that as a reply to me? i AM vegetarian, that comment was a reply to some idiot saying vegetarians don't eat eggs and then a load of insults, obviously vegetarians do eat eggs, unless they don't want to, but eating eggs isn't something you can't do if you call yourself vegetarian. whats wrong with gay marriage? have i ever said i am against it? though i'm not gay myself, i see no reason why it shouldn't be allowed.

  • Comment removed

  • Animals eat other animals and plants are living things too. I don't see how I've inherited the right to pick and choose what form of life has more value over another. So I'll just eat what tastes good. Welcome to the real world, where people eat meat and will continue to eat meat.

  • Agreed.

  • I totally and one hundred percent agree Ben. I have been a veggie for 3 years now (since I was 11), and once you get over the whole "thirst for meat" which it totally unnatural in homosapiens anyway, you can really acquire a whole new perspective on the matter. The mass slaughter of any living being is wrong, most of all for the 1 minute pleasure of us greedy humans.

  • just because they disagree in murder doesn't mean they're a "hippy". We don't eat animals because we don't want to, not because we're a bunch of "hippies" some of us might be, some of us aren't. if you disagree, and think animals should be eaten, doesn't that mean you should be eaten? your an animal after all, all humans are animals.

  • The difference is that I am at the top of the food chain. And animals are tasty. It's the way things have been since long before any person thought up the idea of vegetarianism.

  • just because we didn't call it "vegetarianism" doesn't mean it didn't exist. thats like saying there weren't any trees before someone decided to name them "trees".

  • this was amasing!

    nice reply

    vegetatarianism is right!

and ive been veggie for two years now and recently gave up on fish aswell

    ive never slept better

  • @ItsAMePaige you were a peskitarian before if you ate fish

  • @11jMCK i know but not many people know what peskatarianism is so i just said vegetarian

  • Dude no offense, but humans are in all the places in the food chain, go back to 7th grade, you fail =P

Why? Well lets see.... We are a producers pretty much, so we "can" get eaten by other creatures. But we're also primary consumers, etc.

Wow, who knew people were such idiots. Did you even go to college?

Oh, and also there is vege-meat, from vegetable protein that tastes just like meat which is what my friends say.

  • if he fails, you epic fail.

The food chain DEPENDS on no animal in it taking so much it hurts the rest of the system.

Usually unnatural changes do this. here in Australia rabbits were an introduced species and now they've become responsible for the dieing out of native species because they eat all the food. now there are so many programs to curb the populations of rabbits here. Same applies to humans.

    Mass factory farming is unnatural.

  • Science has the last word, google this : " Christina Waters Ph.D comparative anatomy ", then click on the first entry, then you download the article, it has a long chart comparing 20 anatomical factors about carnivores, herbivores, omnivores and humans...when you see that chart you will have no doubt that we are not carnivores and we are not omnivores ... btw this is not the only chart on the internet, you can find similar charts by variety of authors if you patiently google

  • if your body needed meat, then after a few years of avoiding meat, then your body should crave like crazy for meat, like a thirsty for water...but in practice , it won't happen like that, you will hate the taste and seeing of any meat to the level of vomiting...that means your body doesn't need meat...that is my experience after 10 years of avoiding meat...of course I eat some dairies and occasionally eggs

  • to be fair tho 'God' didn't write the bible, just some dude way back in the day that got the priviledge of adding his 2 cents into the book... While I do disagree with mass farming and group slaughtering, i think that since killing each other and defending themselves is what animals do in a natural environment, then humans can eat meat if they keep it on a much smaller scale so the animals can roam like they wouldve in the wild. But then i guess only the rich wud eat meat.. so screwitall.

  • Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I give all to you, as I gave the green plant." (Genesis 9:3)

  • I respect your opinions. However, I dont think theres anything wrong with eating animals. You find it in nature all the time, animals eating other animals, and people tend to forget that were part of nature.Although I DO disagree with the intensive farming, so I usually go for the free-range/organic stuff.

But any food that you eat is alive one way or another, even plants. Humans are lucky, we can eat almost anything we want, some animals cant, and I think we should take advantage of that.

  • Poo, had i read urs i wuda only typed 2 lines.

  • My cousin used to be a vegetarian, then I introduced him to meat, now he loves nothing more then a steak dinner.

  • Vegitarians are contributers to global warming. By not eating meat, you are causing more cows to exist on earth. These Cows emit a methane gas that depleads the ozone. So thanks vegitarians for ruining my winter.

  • There wouldn't be so many damn cows on this earth if everyone was vegetarian because they are grown specifically for your consumption. It's all about supply and demand. Where there is no demand, there is no supply. THink about it. WHo is the one contributing to global warming.

  • Nice way of putting it :]

    Way to show em !

  • veg are, it takes way more farming to feed veg than meat eaters, and the amount of gas oput out by veggies is more than cows. oh yeah and what about all the chemicals and pesticides? love how veg never mention that !

  • actually it has been proven the opposite

Eating meat is HUGELY damaging the earth

its in all the papers and stuff

you should really look it up before saying ridicules things

  • no, it causes no damage, you need to do some research like all veggies

  • what? so the EU and all the experts need to do research too do they?

as they are saying the same as me

  • all the experts? no jsut the ones that are trying to push a certain agenda. do some real research and learn

  • no all the experts

  • major claps!!! (been vegetarian all 18 yrs of m elife) o, and 5stars for u :-}

  • no hating people...everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I don't agree with what BenLoka says but it doesn't mean I trash everyone who does, so don't do it the other way round :P I think we need meat to survive and we've eaten it since we existed really, plus I like the taste :) but if you're a veggie, good for you too, you're probably healthier than me!

  • GO VEG!

  • in response to sklurch...VEGETARIANS happen to have self control, and something that many meat eaters lack-COMPASSION. tell me, has any one of you every met a vegetarian that didnt have compassion? yet im sure youve met plenty of meat eaters who dont have compassion. and just because your a vegetarian doesnt mean you dont have time to help people suffering. its not about priorities, its about doing as much good as you can.

  • what a blubbering idiot.

  • you know what? he has a point, okay. if killing was fun, and gave you great pleasure, do you think the people you know would allow you to go out and kill for your own self gratification? that is the equivalent of killing animals to eat. it is unnecessary and it is cruel.

  • ur so right

  • i completely agree with you

  • Totally right could not agree more, supoib!

  • If this is what you look like due to not eating meat I will now double my meat intake.

  • And i'm sure you're Brad Pitt :)

  • lol

i love how he deletes my comment

the one where i point out the flaws in this video

    what a coward

  • what comment? I doubt he even reads most of them as he gets so many, why would he delete it?

  • on his other video titled "why YOU should be a vegetarian"

  • well why don't you just post it again, as long as it isn't obscene etc. If it's valid and you feel that strogly about it.

  • wot?, "animals are inferior to human beings" no there not, you probably work in a slaughter house, and if animals are on earth to be eaten, then you should be eaten too, as were all animals,

  • As somebody who believes almost everything on this earth is here for a reason i believe the role of animals among other things is food. Yes,the animals are being treated pretty bad,but at the same time they'r just animals. And animals are inferior to human beings. Yes they live, but they live for what? What are we supposed to do with all the animals then if not eat them? Just kill them for population control?Might as well eat them then. Put them in a place? What place?Havent thought that far huh?

  • Going by your reasoning I think, I should kill and eat you too because you are inferior to me.

  • No, because we are both of the same human species...

    You misunderstood...

  • YEAAHH

  • i agree with everything you said i am buddhist and i just think people are ignoring the fact that animals are living things like us they have feelings and it is sick killing them in that way just because were bigger if a elephant started eating humans because its bigger would that make it ok? well bad example but you get the idea.

  • that video changed my life

  • i have watched earthlings a long time a go and it is the reason why i am vegan

    thanks for the video ben

  • i respect you so much for putting out a serious video like this. i, myself, am not a vegetarian, but i do have friends that are, and i think that this is an important issue that a lot of people just slide under the rug and ignore. i probably haven't done as much research as i should on the subject, but it's good to see that you have a passion for what you're talking about, and i respect that so much.

    :)

  • The video isn't available... :(

  • i am a vegan, havent been for so long, but i am convinst that it is the best way to live, eventhough it is hard allso when peolpe makes fun of you you have to keep on :)

  • Wow...that video is SO true. I'm a vegetarian. I have been since I was 6 years old. And even though I get made fun of and ridiculed (even by my own family!) I still keep up with it. Yeah, it might be hard at first. It's a lifestyle. But honestly, you'll get used to it. I don't think people should bicker about if being a vegetarian is right, though. It's your choice, whatever you do, and people should repsect it either way.

  • Everything you've said here is true, Ben. I wish everyone would try being a vegetarian. It's so easy: Try Boca burgers, anything from Morningstar or St. Ives brands, tofu from your favorite Chinese restaurant and of course, losts of veges and fruits. There are so many options. Thanks, Ben!

  • you dont do wrong by self-sustaining. you respect life by not killing animals for any other reason.

  • The mass slaughter of animals is NOT "self-sustaining". Unlike a carnivorous animal, which must kill or scavenge meat in order to survive, humans can - very easily - sustain themselves WITHOUT EATING MEAT. Barring extreme survival situations, eating meat is NOT the difference between life or death for human beings. And as if your argument wasn't flimsy enough already, by the same logic, cannibalism is acceptable, as long as you only kill people to eat them!

  • i love you BenLoka, your funny. having said that, Earthlings is seriously misinformed.. dont believe in this self-important documentary suggesting parallelisms between fascism, sexism other isms and.. what?? meat eating??? meat is vital to the human organism and other carnivores and omnivores, thats why we eat it. and so does your kitty cat. and your doggy. now, is your doggy fascist or racist or sexist?? NO! it is called BIOLOGY. dont be fooled by fake moral axioms.

  • "meat is vital to the human organism"

Then why are there millions of fit and healthy vegetarians all over the world? I can't believe you can make a comment as poorly educated and downright stupid as that, then have the audacity to suggest someone like Benloka is misinformed.

  • I wish people would just go Vegan, watch Earthlings, an egg is not for humans to eat and dairy organic or non organi is bad for our health and it is cruel to the cows, want to know bout good calcium sources? There is too many. Differant types of beans, spinich, carrots are just a few! If u are Vegetarian please go Vegan, Dairy cows and Hens are tortured too and have terrible lifes. Please go Vegan for your health and for all animals sake.

  • Go vegetarian! lol

  • So you people are killing your own animals to eat are you??

    No.

You're eating packaged corpses you stupid fucking ignorant freaks...

  • Humanity focuses on the subjects that affect them the most...There are more than enough human right activists as well as there are animal ethologists and other environmentalists. We're all working together but we act like enemies. Separation is an illusion.

  • Dont stop eating, just meat

  • Don't think that would ever happen. Man has been eating meat since the days of the cavemen. And will keep eating meat way after we are all dead and gone.

  • So after we're all dead and gone we'll continue to eat meat even though we're dead? Wow, who knew? Asshole.

  • Meant for to be up till all of man is all dead and gone. That's when man will stop eatting meat.

Oh shit must have had a brain fart.

Either way I'm eatting cow tonight.

  • Don't you think it's funny how people refer to it as "brainwashing" ? That tickles me pink. =)

  • I happen to be vegetarian. I don't expect people to change to be like us, however, I think that they should be more respectful. It's our decision, we're not MAKING anyone change. We just try and give people an option to. So please, people, don't get upset about something like this. Why be so rude? =) We just happen to love animals more than you do.

  • Amazing how the amount of respect i had you for you could decrease so dramatically in the space 1 min 52. Dont worry though its only a phase and you'll grow out of it in time. That aside, I dont understand how anyone can be a vegetarian and not be vegan without being very hypocritical?!

  • Yay. Awesome Vid. But Dammm Im Too Late For World Veg Week :(

  • i am not a vegetarian, i don't like the idea of slaughter houses and how we abuse animals.. everything must kill another living organism to survive. however humans are the only ones that can make the suffering nonexistent. if you want to eat meat and not change that fact look for free range and organic meats. stop putting money into companies that pump their animals full of hormons and abuse them. we need to change what we eat.. but that doesnt mean we have to be vegetarians

  • you have a nice idea about being nicer to the animals, but it is complete bs that everything must kill another living organism to survive-im sorry, its simply not true. in fact, statistics show vegetarians tend to live longer lives-how do you like them apples?

  • still does it matter if they want to eat i mean i am veggie ok i hate the thought of eating a dead animal but sometimes people do crave i eman if they have been brought up on meat and then chaged then they know what it tastes like anyway i bet the people you shared a house with did not eat the meat even if they wanted to does not matter if they want to the fact is that they don't becuase they don't like where it has come from the taste has nothing to do with it

  • You have four sharp pointy teeth called canines. You are an omnivore and have evolved to eat meat. Use your brain.

  • We have also evolved to wipe our asses with our hands too. Not everything is about whether you can so much as whether you SHOULD.

  • well... i'm not debating with you or anything because i remember when i was younger i cried every time i ate meat and then my dad reminded me that not eating the meat doesn't stop the killing.

it just means that the animals died in vain.

  • I can't believe you've been brainwashed successfully, get out of it. If I did anyone can.

  • Get out of eating steaks;and hamburgers? No thanks.

  • Killing for food is as natural as rain.

Humans just happen to be very efficient at it.

If I get jacked up by a bear when I'm hiking - so be it. That's life. If they could figure out how to herd us and breed us for food, good for them.

Rachelletayler - Do vultures have sharp teeth? Dumbass.

  • oh come on your video is bullshit!

if you realy are against animal abuse you wouldn't be vegetarian.

i think you missunderstood the film earthlings.

    GO VEGAN mother fuckers!

  • Hear hear! I'm a vegetarian, and I hate it how everyone who ever knows it tries to convince me to eat meat. I'm fed up of having the same conversation thousands of times. I don't force my vegetarianism down anyones' throat, so why should they try to convince me that meat is good?

  • yeah i watched earthlings totally heartbreakiing before than i was only eating chicken and fish now i can't stomach the thought of any meat

  • Hey Ben!

This July 4th will be my 1 year anniversary of being a vegetarian, thanks to you!

Watching "Earthlings" truly brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for helping to bring awareness to the ignorant masses.

  • Not really. It is true that cattle is not only a big factor, but the main factor that causes global warming. Eating more won't help reduce it. Producing more animals for food just make more methane gas, and eating more produces more and the chain continues. Continuing to eat meat speeds along global warming. Vegetarianism doesn't.

  • Not really, dumbass. Any other thing in this world that eats meat has sharp teeth; we don't. We aren't made to eat meat. We have the digestive systems of herbivores. Look it up.

  • great vid

im a vegetarian and i think the killing of animals is horrible...

  • If ppl knew what most vegans knew, a lot less ppl would eat dairy. I can't eat dairy because it repulses me.

  • NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO IT IS A JOKE ITS STUPID. the people thousands of years ago ate animals to SURVIVE so honestly, i don't think god put them here to be your friend and come over for dinner.

  • From one veggie to another, great post! I have seen Earthlings several times and each time I see it, my heart breaks. I wish our race could see the humanity in all creatures and grant them the same treatment that we desire for our selves. I love a man that cares about the animals, thanks!!

  • BEastmix........you sound so sure of yourself, yet YOU are completly INCORRECT. ITs NOt some or a minority, its vast amounts. You don't need meat to be healthy or dairy, in fact you would be off not eating them. scientifically inaccurate, BS....educate yourself on the topic....I have, I am vegan.....The people who brainwash you in thinking these things, are the very people that are doing the harm, and making big money off of it. Do your research.

  • I understand (although I am not one) vegetarians. However, I don't get vegans at all. If it's a personal health reason, okay, but no dairy? Cows NEED to be milked for their own health. So what? Would you rather we waste it? Or not milk them and let them die? I just don't get it. That's not meant as an insult, if you can explain it then I'd love to get a better understanding on the issue, but I've yet to hear anything that makes sense.

  • Cows don't NEED to be milked more than any other animal. Just like your mum did, they stop producing milk as the milk stops being taken. i.e. the calf gets old enough to feed itself. It is only because in farming, mother and calf contact is limited when a cow is shut in a box for weeks on end. If there were no calling for hundreds of thousands of bottles of milk each day, the cows wouldn't NEED to be 'milked'.

I really hope that makes sense! :)

  • That did make sense to me, thank you for explaining it the way you did. :) For the most part, everytime I've inquired I've gotten yelled at and not given actual answers, so it's nice to hear an actual point of view haha. Thanks again!:)

  • cows do not NEED to be milked. the only reason why they produce milk is because they are forced to have a calf every year through artificial insemination and keep giving milk because of harmful chemicals and hormones they are given. the calves are kept in small boxes standing in their own shit with their heads chained down and are fed steroids and hormones to produce veal. so, by drinking milk, you are supporting the torture and murder of baby cows. hope you understand now. :)

  • Chemicals and hormones and whatnot are not needed for the cows to give milk. It's possible they are used to get more milk and so, but they are not needed for that.

Like it was said before, as calves are getting to be able to feed themselves, cows will produce less and less milk until they stop entirely. When people want milk from cows, they simply start milking them... and keep going. Nothing more needed. And as much as I've understood, milking doesn't interfere the cows' lives.

  • Just checked - it is even not needed to take the calf away from the cow like that to get milk. I guess it's done, but just so you know, it's not needful.

It actually is possible to keep a cow and milk a cow without harming anyone. Possibly this is not what is going on in industries, but it is possible.

  • Once there was a time (at least in some areas) when every family had it's own cow and chickens and sheep and so on. People knew where their milk came from, how happy the animals were, and if they wanted meat, it was their own commitment to kill the animals. In many ways this was quite nice. Then... well, in here, then came the USSR and now there is EU and you need extra money to keep a cow only for yourself.

  • dude, do some research. A stressed out produces poor milk. They have machines which monitor the stress of the entire heard, when the utter is full it gets uncomfortable for the cow so they've learned to milk themself via a suction device which is attached to some machine. The entire thing is automated now, the freakin cows milk themselves. There's even a God damn mechanical comb that scratches their back while they're being milked. Saw it on the history/discovery channel.

  • MrTripi, I think you didn't mean it as a reply to me but to the person I was replying, but it was a very good comment and if you want him/her to also hear it, you could maybe repost it as a reply to him/her.

  • wow...just wow... dumbest comment ive ever read. Your the one that should be doing research. Duh their guna show you that on the discovery channel, their not guna show cows being slaughtered and whored and tortured for their products.

If you think all cows go through what you explained then your fuckin retarded. A mass majority of them can not even walk and live in agony and pain until their bodies finally give in and they die.

  • dude, I'm not saying the cows we use for meat are being treated kindly. I'm saying it's beneficial, at least for the dairy industry, to treat their cows well. Abuse, leads to stress, leads to low quality milk. I'm sure not everyone can afford a machine that will scratch a cow's ass everytime it milks itself, my point remains valid though.

  • yes it does!

just go and inform yourself before you start talking!

  • Okay, so the story is: if cows are not milked, they aren't alive either. Only a few people would keep them just as pets. And if you would ask me if I'd like to produce milk all my life or be never born, then I'd choose the first option. It's not like milking would be an agony either.

Of course if I'd be kept in a tight cage or something alike all my life, it would be agony, but that's not what I was talking about in here (not that it wouldn't matter how those cows live).

  • cows need to bee milked just like humans need to be milked.

    its a reaction from pregnancy.

  • ...and they are made pregnant by us (raped essentially), then their calf taken is away, which is the INTENDED recipient of the milk. I am so sick of ill conceived, typical, ignorant comments like this. Do some research before you even open your fuckin' mouth.

  • It's not a recipient. I posted my comment on that as a response to a previous comment.

  • sorry had to "look let me make something abundantly clear 4 people who r so bereft of activities they feel like they gotta comment on mine first of all being a vegetarian should never b associated with being a revolutionary or being openminded thats a dietary choice if someone wants to proliferate the type of ignorance were supposed 2 be fighting by thinking that youre just fucking yrself" immortal technique
  • That's the way nature works though. In the wild, animals kill and eat other animals. It's simple natural selection. HOWEVER, I do agree with you 100% that the cruelty/bad conditions that happens/are present in SOME(and it is a minority) of farms/labs/etc is wrong and something should be done about it, but to say that eating meat is 100% incorrect is scientifically inaccurate. You need meat to be healthy. Like it or not, supplements don't give you the same complex carbs/proteins your body needs.

  • I'm sorry but you're very wrong.

In the wild, animals do kill and eat other animals, you're right there. But not ALL animals do this. Only the carnivories ones. When was the last time you saw a wild rabbit killing some other animal?.

You do not need meat to be healthy. If humans aren't built to eat meat initially then how CAN they need meat to be healthy? It is a myth that vegetarians don't gain enough protein from a meat-free diet.

  • Great point shelly. When was the last time a Lion came and stole our veggies? These people who claim that we survived on animals, well why dont they go to the jungle and compete with the lion for food. Why the supermarket?

  • Even the giant panda, that SHOULD be omnivorous, isn't. It's a huge bear, it needs tons of energy, still it has teeth not made for meat.

With the knowledge we humans have, that we can eat strictly vegetarian, even vegan, and still get enough energy and nutrients, it's saddening to think that we refuse to because traditionally and culturally 'we like meat'.

I myself find it too difficult to eat strictly vegan though, if it were easier and cheaper I wouldn't mind.

  • I just became a vegetarian from that video meet your meat and I agree with you that people need to be more aware. Thanks for posting this video and I want check out that earthlings video..is it a movie or a youtube thing? Where do I find it?

  • This is great! I completely agree with every word said. Your a good man, Ben. Hare Krsna!

  • I have seen all of 'Earthlings' now, and I would like to thank you for posting the link here. It has been the most eyeopening film I have ever seen. I'm thinking about how I can make as many as possible of the people I know watch this movie too.

  • This made me subscribe. Great video.

  • if only i knew. i think that was the week i was experimental with meat.

however, doesnt this holiday have little impact if already vegetarian vegetarians are the only ones participating?

  • Woo! Well said!

  • You have a good heart, Ben...I've been thinking of going vetetarian, actually...maybe I can get used to not eating it. I can live without it. ;)

  • dang if only i had watched this then
